Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Andrew Grange, UMass Lowell (So., Methuen, MA) - Helped two relay teams automatically and provisionally qualify for the NCAA Championship at the Boston University FasTrack Invitational. Ran a 47.3-second leg on the 4X400 meter relay team which placed first, broke the school record and posted the fastest time in the country: 3:10.73. Also ran 49.0 seconds in the 400-meter dash on the distance medley relay team which placed fifth in 10:01.92 and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Stacey Egbert, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Danbury, CT) – Won three events and placed second in another at the Connecticut Track Conference meet. Won the long jump event (5.73m), the triple jump (12.26m) and was a member of the winning 4x400 relay team. Also took second place in the high jump (1.61m).

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week

Doug Caves, UMass Lowell (Fr., Oxford, MA) - Ran a team-best 46.9-second leg on UMass Lowell's 4X400 meter relay team which placed first in 3:10.73 - the fastest time in the country - at the Boston University FasTrack Invitational. The result broke the former school record of 3:12.40 by 1.67 seconds.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week

Bridget DeVincent , Stonehill ( Fr. , Attleboro, Mass. ) - Qualified for the all-New England Championships in the 5,000 meters at the Boston University Valentine Classic with a time of 18:13.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Robert Keizer, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Great Neck, NY) - Finished third out of 36 athletes in the triple jump with a leap of 48 feet 8 inches at the Boston University Valentine's Day Invitational. Also placed sixth in the long jump with a distance of 21 feet 11 inches.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Kate Reynolds, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Hamden, CT) - Won the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 15.37. Also took second in the shot-put with a distance of 12.05 meters.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Freshman of the Week

Jacqui Barrett , UMass Lowell ( Fr. , Woburn, MA ) - Placed 18th overall and second among Division II-III throwers in the shot put with a distance of 39' 3.0''.

Weekly Honor Roll:


Lloyd Brown, American International (Fr., Bloomfield, CT) - Finished first at the Wesleyan Invitational in the 100-meter dash with a time of 6.66 seconds. Also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash.

Caitlyn Clark, Assumption (Gr., Worcester, MA) - Finished as the top Northeast-10 runner and tenth among collegiate runners in the mile with a time of 5:03.33 at the Boston University Valentine Invitational.

Molly O’Connell, Assumption (So., Sandy, UT) - Finished second among Northeast-10 throwers in the shot put with a distance of 39 feet, 0.50 inches (11.90 m) at the Boston University Valentine Invitational.

Dan Darcy, Bentley (Fr., Sharon, MA) - Set a personal best of 2:31.07 while finishing 21st of 72 in the 1000-meters at the Boston University Valentine's Invitational. Was first amongst Northeast-10 runners in the event and 16th amongst collegians. Also ran a leg on the distance medley relay team, which placed 13th of 20 in 10:26.34.

Barbara Powell, Bentley (Fr., Granby, MA) - Was first amongst Northeast-10 runners, and 28th of 69 overall, in the 1,000 meters at the Boston University Valentine's Invitational, with a season-best time of 3:03.07. Also ran the first leg on the distance medley relay team, which set a school record of 12:49.56.

Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (Jr., Attleboro, MA) - Finished second in the 200-meter at the Valentine's Invite setting a school record with a time of 21.57. That time places him second in the nation in Division II in the 200-meter. Also placed tenth in the 55-meter race in a time 6.50.

Nicole Radzik, Bryant (Jr., Sutton, MA) - Finished 30th in the 5000-meter in 18:21.17 at the Valentine's Invitational.

Erick Colon, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, MA) - Ran a 48.8-second leg on the 4X400 meter relay team which placed first in 3:10.73 and posted the fastest time in the country.

Clint Cooper, UMass Lowell (Sr., Raynham, MA) - Ran a 47.4-second split on the 4X400 meter relay team which placed first and posted the fastest time in the country at the Boston University FasTrack Invitational.

Nicole Plante, UMass Lowell (Sr., North Adams, MA) - Placed 23rd overall (tops among Division II-III runners) in the 3,000 meters at the Boston University FasTrack Classic in 9:56.11. Also ran the mile on the distance medley relay team in 5:02 to help place fourth overall and second among Division II-III foursomes in 12:00.47.

Kevin Taylor, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Bristol, CT) - Finished second out of 54 athletes in the men's long jump with a distance of 22 feet 9.75 inches at the Boston University Valentine's Day Invitational.

Chris Watson, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Manchester, CT) - Took fourth place honors out of 36 athletes in the triple jump with a jump of 48 feet 8 inches at the Boston University Valentine's Day Invitational.

Kelly Chaisson, Stonehill (Sr., Walpole, MA) - Qualified for all-New England Championships in the 3,000 meters at the Boston University Valentine Classic with a time of 10:23.

Kristina Coriarty, Stonehill (So., Brockton, Mass.) - Ran time of 2:20.5 in the 800-meters to qualify for all-New England Championships at the Boston University Valentine Classic.

Keith Gill, Stonehill (Jr., Brockton, MA) - Set a school record in the 800 meters at the Boston University Valentine Classic, posting a time of 1:52 to finish eighth individually as top Division II entrant. Also ran the anchor time of 4:03 in the mile as part of a school record setting effort in distance medley relay with a time of 9:53, the fastest time in the event in Division II nationally this season.

Torrey Price, Stonehill (So., Sleepy Hollow, NY) - Finished third of 113 competitors in the 55-meters at the Boston University Valentine Classic in a time of 6.42, the best of all Division II entrants in event.


Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: At the BU Valentines Invitationl, the quartet of freshman Barbara Powell (Granby, Mass.), junior Samantha Robbins (Franklin, Mass.) and sophomores Rebecca Ciccarelli (Natick, Mass.) and Amy Papalia (Marlboro, Mass.) combined for a school record in the distance medley relay. Their time of 12:49.56 bettered the standard set in 2005 by about 7.5 seconds. STONEHILL: The Skyhawk men's distance medley relay team of senior Brandoin Beloin (Danielson, Conn.) and juniors David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.), Dickie Gerry (Bow, N.H.) and Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.) ran the fastest time in the event nationally in Division II at the Boston University Valentine Classic, posting a school record time of 9:53 to best Abilene Christian's mark by nearly four seconds. Gill set his third school record of the season as well for Stonehill in the 800 meters (1:52).
