Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Patrick Molloy, UMass Lowell (Jr., Methuen, MA) - Won the 800
meters at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a time of 1:59.76. Also
ran a leg on the 4X800 meter relay team, which placed second in
8:12.98.
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Corilynn Smith, UMass Lowell (Jr., Georgetown, MA) - Won the
400-meter dash at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a time of 59.84
seconds, and was the sole runner to finish under a minute. Also ran
a 26.6-second leg to lead the 4X200 meter relay team to a second
place in 1:46.09.
Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week
Doug Caves, UMass Lowell (Fr., Oxford, MA) - Captured the 600
meters at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a time of 1:20.76.
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week
Haley Catarius, UMass Lowell (Fr., Marshfield, MA) - Captured the
600-meter run at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a time of
1:38.24.
Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Rocky LeFort, UMass Lowell (Jr., Nashua, NH) - Placed second
overall and tops among collegiate throwers in the shot put at the
Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a throw of 49' 11.25''.
Northeast-10 Women’s Field Freshman of the Week
Jacqui Barrett, UMass Lowell (Fr., Woburn, MA) - Won the shot put
at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a throw of 41' 11.5''.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Chris Forbes, UMass Lowell (Fr., Methuen, MA) - Won the
1,000-meters at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a time of
2:34.64.
Toni-Marie Henry, UMass Lowell (Sr., Springfield, MA) - Won the
55-meter dash at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational with a time of 7.27
seconds. Also ran a 25.3-second leg on the 4X200 meter relay team,
which placed second in 1:46.09.
Olivia Thibou, UMass Lowell (Fr., Boston, MA) - Placed second
overall and tops in the triple jump at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational
with a distance of 33' 8.0''.
