Northeast-10 Men’s Co-Track Athletes of the Week
Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (Sr., Attleboro, MA) - Captured a pair of
wins at the Bryant Invitational, winning both the 100 meters (10.85
seconds) and took top honors in the 200 meters in a time of 21.19
seconds.
Brandon Beloin, Stonehill (Sr., Danielson, CT) - Captured first
place in the 400 meter hurdles (54.80) and was part of the winning
4 X 400 relay (3:23.82) team at the Bryant Invitational.
Northeast-10 Women’s Co-Track Athletes of the
Week
Natasha Stevenson, Bryant (Sr., Haverhill, MA) - Finished
first in the 100-meter dash in 12.72 seconds at the Bryant
Invitational.
Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Sr., Cranston, RI) - Recorded a first
place performance in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.68 at the
Bryant Invitational.
Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week
Alex Engel, Bryant (Fr., Spencer, MA) - Placed third in the
200-meter dash with a time of 22:44 at the Bryant Invitational.
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week
Letecia Taylor, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Plainfield, NJ)
- Took first place in the 100 meter hurdles at the Sam Howell
Invitational with a time of 14.65. Also finished second in the
400-meter hurdles (15.80).
Northeast-10 Men’s Co-Field Athletes of the Week
Evan Lane, Saint Rose (So., Sharon Springs, NY) - Won the
shot put and discus events at the Bryant Invitational. Took the
shot put with a toss of 12.60 meters (41' 4.25") and the discus, he
outdistanced the next closest competitor by over 11 feet with a
heave of 39.65 meters (130' 1").
Tyler Guilmette, Stonehill (So., East Longmeadow, MA) - Posted
winning performances in both the long jump (21 feet, 4 3/4 inches)
and the triple jump (42 feet, 3/4 inch) at the Bryant
Invitational
Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete and Freshman of
the Week
Meghan Rocha, Stonehill (Fr., Nashua, NH) - Took top
honors in the discus with a mark of 119 feet, 1 inch and added a
school record performance in the hammer throw of 127 feet that was
good for third place at the Bryant Invitational.
Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week
Joe D'Agostino, Stonehill (Fr., Canton, MA) - Took top
honors in the high jump (6 feet, 6 inches) at the Bryant
Invitational.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jessica Cegarra, Bryant (Sr., Danville, NH) - Took first in the
shot put with a mark of 39 feet, 9.25 inches and finished second in
the discus with a throw of 108-11 at the Bryant Invitational.
Sarah Giffard, Bryant (Fr., North Yarmouth, ME) - Placed third in
the high jump (4-09.75) at the Bryant Invitational.
Steve Haskell, Bryant (So., East Bridgewater, MA) - Placed third in
the shot put (36-00.75) and fourth in the discus (113-01) as well
as fifth in the hammer throw (113-02) at the Bryant
Invitational.
Stephanie Montagano, Bryant (Fr., Wakefield, MA) - Won the 400
meters at the Bryant Invite in a time of 60:87.
Ashley Wallace, Pace (Sr., Oswego, NY) - At the Bryant
Invitational, finished second in the shot put (11.54m; 37-10.50)
and sixth in the discus (25.95 m; 85-02).
Joe Coleman, Saint Rose (Fr., Albany, NY) - Took the 800-meter run
at the Bryant Invitational after crossing the line in 1:57.72, just
four seconds off the school record pace.
Larry Johnson, Southern Connecticut (So., Greenwich, CT) - Was part
of the winning 4x100 relay team at the Sam Howell Invitational
(42.19). Also took a second place finish in the 100 meter dash at
11.10.
Kate Reynolds, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Hamden, CT) - Won the
hammer throw at 51.40 at the Sam Howell Invitation and also took
fifth place in the shot put with a distance of 12.90 meters.
Sutton Underwood, Southern Connecticut (So., Norwalk, CT) -
Finished the pole vault at 4.90 to take first place at the Sam
Howell Invitational.
David Metzger, Stonehill (Jr., Ellington, CT) - Took top honors in
the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:06.57 at the Bryant
Invitational.
Torrey Price, Stonehill (So., Sleepy Hollow, NY) - Set a school
record in the100 meters (10.62) in the winning trial heat at the
University of Texas Clyde Littlefield Relays, provisionally
qualifying for NCAA Outdoor Championships in the process. Finished
third in the 100 meter race with a time of 11.06.
Weekly Notes:
PACE: At the Bryant Invitational, Maurice Little
broke the school record in the Men's 200m with a time of 23.36 and
Jeremy Singleton broke the school record in the Men's Javelin with
a throw of 177'3" - 54.02m.
