Northeast-10 Men’s Co-Track Athletes of the Week
Brandon Beloin, Stonehill (Sr., Danielson, CT) -Became the first
New England individual champion in school history by taking top
honors in the 400 meter hurdles at the New England Championships
with a school record time of 53.10. Was also part of the all-New
England effort in the 4 X 400 relay with a school record time of
3:17.65.
Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (Sr., Attleboro, MA) – Became
Bryant’s first New England Champion by capturing first in the
400 meters at the New England Championships. Won the event in 46.37
seconds. Also finished second in the 200 meters in a meet record
tying 21.09 seconds.
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Symone Wong, Southern Connecticut (So., Laurelton, NY) - Took
second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.40 as Southern
Connecticut finished sixth in the New England Championships. Also
combined for a first place time of 48.39 in the 4x100 meter
relay.
Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week
Alex Engel, Bryant (Fr., Spencer, MA) - Finished fourth in the 400
meters to earn All-New England honors. Finished in a personal-best
time of 49.06 seconds.
Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week
Letecia Taylor, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Plainfield, NJ) –
Led Southern Connecticut to a sixth place finish at the New England
Championships with a second place finish in the 100 meter hurdles
(14.37) followed by a third place finish in the 400 meter hurdles
(1:03.10).

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kate Reynolds, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Hamden, CT) - Finished in
second place in the hammer throw with a throw of 50.64 meters (166
feet and two inches) as Southern Connecticut finished sixth at the
New England Championships.
Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week
Joe D'Agostino, Stonehill (Fr., Canton, MA) - Finished sixth in the
high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 5 inches to earn all-New England
honors at the New England Championships.
Northeast-10 Women’s Field Freshman of the Week
Olivia Thibou, UMass Lowell (Fr. , Boston, MA) - Placed sixth
overall and earned All-New England honors in the triple jump at the
New England Championship with a distance of 35' 11.25''.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kevin Donovan, Bentley (Jr. , Tonawanda, NY) - Finished seventh
overall to earn All-New England honors in the 10,000 meters with a
personal best time of 32:13.61. Was first amongst Northeast-10
competitors.
Jessica Cegarra, Bryant (Sr., Danville, NH) - Earned All-New
England honors this past weekend with an eighth-place finish in the
shot put at the New England Championships with a mark of 40 feet, 5
inches.
Stephanie Montagano, Bryant (Fr., Wakefield, MA) - Finished ninth
in the 400 meters in 59.09 seconds at the New England
Championships.
Natasha Stevenson, Bryant (Sr., Haverhill, MA) - Finished third in
the 100 meters in 12.43 seconds and added a fourth-place finish in
the 200 meters in 25.28 to earn All-New England in both events at
the New England Championship.
Andrew Grange, UMass Lowell (So., Methuen, MA) - Placed fourth
overall and shattered the school record in the 400 meter dash at
the ECAC-IC4A Championship. Won the preliminary on Saturday with a
school-record time of 46.89 - moving from 24th to ninth on the
Division II list - to guarantee his place in the NCAAs. Finished
fifth in the final with a time of 48.06 seconds. Also ran a leg on
the 4X400 meter relay team which shattered the school record in
3:10.15, the eighth-best time in Division II, which also books a
place at the NCAAs.
Toni-Marie Henry, UMass Lowell (Sr., Springfield, MA) - Earned
All-New England honors in two events at the New England
Championship. Placed second in the triple jump with a distance of
39' 2.25'' and helped the 4X100 meter relay team to eighth place in
49.37 seconds.
Nicole Plante, UMass Lowell (Sr., North Adams, MA) - Placed third
overall - tops among Division II-III runners - and achieved the
second-fastest time in the country in the 3,000 meters at the
ECAC-IC4A Championship with a time of 9:36.93. Also surpassed her
own school record.
Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Sr., Cranston, RI) - Finished eighth in
the 1,500 meters to earn all-New England honors with time of
4:36.93, setting a school record and improving NCAA provisional
qualifying time in the event in the process.
Derek Hebert, Stonehill (Sr., Rockland, MA) - Earned all-New
England honors in the 800 meters at the New England Championships
with a time of 1:53.81 and was also part of the school record
effort in the 4 X 400 relay team's all-New England time of
3:17.65.
David Metzger, Stonehill (Jr., Ellington, CT) -Placed third in the
5,000 meters with school record time of 14:37.58 to earn all-New
England honors and provisionally qualify for the NCAA Outdoor
Championships.
Vinnie Williams, Stonehill (Sr., Springfield, MA) - Earned all-New
England individual accolades in the 100 (10.91) and 200 (21.67)
meters at the New England Championships and was also part of a
school record effort in the 4 X 400 relay team that also earned
all-New England honors with a time of 3:17.65.
Weekly Notes:
STONEHILL: Nine individuals earned all-New England
honors in their respective events for Stonehill at the 2007 New
England Championships over the weekend, including senior Brandon
Beloin (Danielson, Conn.), who became the first Skyhawk individual
champion with a school record effort in the 400 meters. Four
Skyhawks provisionally qualified for the upcoming NCAA outdoor
championships on both the men's and women's side, while five school
records fell during competition over the weekend as the Stonehill
men posted their highest ever finish with a fifth place team score
that was tops among Division II entrants in the field.
