Northeast-10 Men’s Track Co-Athletes of the Week

Doug Caves, UMass-Lowell (So., Oxford, Mass.) - Won the 400 meter dash at the New England Championship in 47.58 seconds, the second-fastest time in the country this season. Also earned All-New England honors in the 4X400 meter relay, leading UMass Lowell to fourth place in 3:18.44.

Keith Gill, Stonehill (Sr., Brockton, Mass.) - Blazed to a New England Championship, finishing first in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:24.73. That time sets a new school record in the event.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Co-Athletes of the Week

Nicole Radzik, Bryant (Sr., Sutton, Mass.) - Placed fourth overall in the women's 5,000 meters at Saturday's New England Championships at BU, finishing in a time of 17:31.10.

Danielle Moore, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Palmdale, Calif.) - Ran the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:15.71 at the New England Championships, earning a fourth place finish.

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week

Kevin Gill, Stonehill (Fr., Brockton, Mass.) - Earned All-New England Honors, finishing second in the 1 Mile Run with a time of 4:10.37.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week

Lyra Clark, UMass-Lowell (Fr., Nashua, N.H.) - Placed ninth overall and fourth among Division II-III athletes in the mile at the New England Championship. Ran 5:02.21 (bettering her previous best 5:05.90) and improved her seeding in the country from 15th to ninth.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

John Brinley, Southern Connecticut (Jr., East Hartford, Conn.) - Won the weight throw at the New England Championships with a throw of 60'2".

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Olivia Thibou , UMass-Lowell ( So. , Boston, MA ) - Earned All-New England honors in both the triple jump and long jump at the New England Championship. Placed fourth overall and first in the triple jump with a distance of 38' 11.0'', the fifth-best result in the country this season. Also took sixth (second) in the long jump with a leap of 17' 9.5''.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week

Cory Murray, UMass Lowell (Fr., Methuen, Mass.) - Earned All-New England honors in the shot put. Placed sixth overall and second among Division II and III throwers with a distance of 51' 4.5''.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Dan Darcy, Bentley (So., Sharon, Mass.) - Helped Bentley finish second in the distance medley relay at the New Englands, with a time of 9:58.71. Ran the lead-off leg, covering 1200 meters in 3:01.2. Also finished 16th overall in the mile, and fourth amongst NE-10 runners, with a time of 4:15.73, and helped the Falcons to a season-best 7:53.95 in the 4x800 relay (11th place)

Melissa Nash, Bentley (Jr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Earned All-New England honors by finishing seventh overall in the 5,000 meters at the New Englands. Won the unseeded heat of the event with a time of 17:53.80.

Matt Blazon, UMass Lowell (Fr., Lowell, Mass.) - Earned All-New England honors and placed sixth overall (tops among Division II-III athletes) in a field of 12 in the heptathlon at the New England Championship with 4,356 points. Highlighted the event by placing third in both the 55 meer hurdles (8.24 seconds) and third in the 1,000 meters (2:44).

Gillian Mundry, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, Mass.) - Earned All-New England honors in the long jump by placing fifth overall and tops among Division II-III athletes with a distance of 17' 11.0''.

Rex Radloff, UMass Lowell (Jr., Dedham, Mass.) - Placed second overall and earned All-New England honors in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:41.77.

Dominique Burrell, Southern Connecticut (Jr., New Haven, Conn.) - Placed third in the shot put at the New England Championships with a throw of 44' 10.25".

Roman Henry, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Brooklyn, N.Y.) - Was a member of the first place 4x400 meter relay team at the New England Championships. Also finished fourth in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:03.82.

McNeil Johnson, Southern Connecticut (Jr., East Hartford, Conn.) - Was a member of the first place 4x400 meter relay team at the New England Championships. Also finished third in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 7.62 seconds

Robert Keizer, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Great Neck, N.Y.) - Placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 50' 4.75" at the New England Championships.

Sasha Mathelier, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Freeport, N.Y.) - Placed third in the pole vault at the New England Championships with a vault of 11' 9.75".

Katherine Reynolds, Southern Connecticut(Jr., Hamden, Conn.) - Placed fifth in the weight throw at the New England Championships with a throw of 54'6".

Kevin Taylor, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Bristol, Conn.) - Took second place in the long jump with a leap of 23’6.75" at the New England Championships.

Letecia Taylor, Southern Connecticut (So., Piscataway, N.J.) - Ran a time of 8.16 seconds in the 55 meter hurdles, earning a fifth place finish at the New England Championships.

Collin Walsh, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Bethany, Conn.) - Finished third in the 1000 meter run at the New England Championships with a time of 2:26.38.

Symone Wong, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Laurelton, N.Y.) - Placed fourth in the 55 meter dash at the New England Championships with a time of 7.15 seconds.

Torrey Price, Stonehill (Jr., Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) - Registered two All-New England performances -finishing fifth in the 55 meter dash (6.43) and fourth in the 200 meters (21.81).

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: In the New Englands, Bentley set a school record and improved on its NCAA provisional qualifying time in the men's distance medley relay with Dan Darcy (Sharon, Mass.), Garrett Stephen (Braintree, Mass.), Jeremy Langton (Mansfield, Mass.) and Stephan Ramirez (San Antonio, Texas) posting a 9:58.71. On the women's side, junior Melissa Nash (Marshfield, Mass.) earned All-New England honors in the 5,000 with a seventh-place finish.

STONEHILL: The quartet of Keith Gill, Kevin Gill, Dickie Gerry and freshman Nate Morse all collected All-New England accolades with their 7:44.07 time in the 4x800 relay. For the women, a team comprised of Hilary Curtis, Amanda Carnevale, Amanda Santacroce and Lindsey Booth provided another bright spot for the young Stonehill team. Their time of 9:33.40 set a new school record in the 4x 800.
