Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (Sr., Attleboro, Mass.) - At the Harvard Open, taking part in the men’s 4x440 yard relay team that placed first in a time of 3:22.78. Set a school record in the finals of the 60 meter dash in 6.81 seconds to place second, besting his previous school mark of 6.94 seconds set last year. Also won the 200-meter dash in a time of 21.59 seconds.

Northeast-10 Co-Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Symone Wong, Southern Connecticut (So., Laurelton, N.Y.) - Finished first in the 60-meter dash at the Yale Season Opener with a time of 7.75 seconds, reaching an NCAA Provisional qualifying time.

Melissa Nash, Bentley (Jr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Was the only Division II woman to win an event at the Harvard Open, capturing the 5,000 meters in 18:11.61.

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week

Kevin Gill, Stonehill (Fr., Brockton, Mass.) - In the men's One-Mile Run, finished second with a time of 4:19.73.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week

Kelly O'Toole, Stonehill (Fr., Nashua, N.H.) - Claimed a second place finish in the 3000-Meter run at the Harvard Open. Finished with a time of 10:37.84.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Robert Keizer, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Great Neck, N.Y.) - Won the triple jump at Yale Season Opener with a jump of 14.92m, which reached at NCAA Provisional qualifying mark. Also placed third in the long jump with a jump of 6.66m.

Northeast-10 Co-Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Jacqui Barrett, UMass Lowell (So., Woburn, Mass.) - Captured the shot put at the Harvard Invitational with a throw of 41’ 1.0’’.

Katherine Reynolds, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Hamden, Conn.) - Won the weight throw at the Yale Season Opener. Reached an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark with a throw of 16.16m.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week

Maurice Calenda, American International (Fr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - Placed second in the long jump at the Yale Season Opener with a distance of 6.78 meters.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Freshman of the Week

Bethany Staiti, UMass Lowell (Fr., Barre, Mass.) - Placed second behind teammate Jacqui Barrett in the shot put at the Harvard Invitational with a toss of 37’ 2.25’’.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL:

Deion Lawson, American International (Fr., Rahway, N.J.) – Place second in the 60-meter hurdles at the Yale Season Opener with a time of 8.56 seconds. Also place ninth in the long jump with a distance of 6.12 meters.

Andrew Bertolami, Bentley (Fr., North Chelmsford, Mass.) – Was ninth, amongst 25 competitors, in the 60-meter high hurdles, with a time of 8.97 seconds.

Dan Darcy, Bentley (So., Sharon, Mass.) – Finished fourth in a 60-man field in the 800 meters, with a time of 1:56.82.

Lauren Lesniak, Bentley (Fr., Dracut, Mass.) – Finished seventh in the 5,000- meters at the Harvard Open, with a time of 19:30.44.

Stephanie Montagano, Bryant (Jr., Wakefield, Mass.) – Placed second in the 400-meter dash at the Harvard Open, finishing in a school record time of 58.90 seconds.

Amber Torrey, Bryant (Sr., Plainfield, N.H.) – Placed sixth in the shot put at the Harvard Open with a mark of 10.76 meters and followed with a third place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 14.52 meters.

Rocky LeFort, UMass Lowell (Sr., Nashua, N.H.) – Captured the shot put at the Harvard Open with a distance of 49’2.25”.

Robert Liekweg, UMass Lowell (So., Salem, N.H.) – Place third overall and tops among Division II-III athletes in the 400-meter dash at the Harvard Open in 51.21 seconds. Also place third overall and second among II-III entries in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.38 seconds.

Olivia Thibou, UMass Lowell (So., Boston, Mass.) – Top Division II-III athlete in two events at the Harvard Open. Placed third overall in the triple jump with a distance of 36’9.0” and took eighth in the long jump (17’0.75”).

Nana Ocran, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Manchester, Conn.) – Won the 60-meter dash at the Yale Season Opener with a time of 6.88 seconds, reaching an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark. Also won the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.23.

Jenny Gardynski, Stonehill (Jr., Everett, Mass.) – Claimed a fourth place finish in the 3,000-meter run at the Harvard Open. Finished with a time of 10:56.60.

David Metzger, Stonehill (Sr., Ellington, Conn.) – Claimed a second place finish (8:39.04) in the 3,000-meter run at the Harvard Open.

BRYANT:
Set two new school records at Saturday's Harvard Open. Junior Stephanie Montagano set a new mark in placing second in the 400 meters in a time of 58.90 seconds while Hafiz Greigre was second in the finals of the 60 meters in 6.81 seconds.
