Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Torrey Price, Stonehill (Jr., Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) - Won the 100 meter dash, finished second in the 200 and was a member of the 4x100 team that finished second at the George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass-Lowell.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Co-Athlete of the Week

Stephanie Montagano, Bryant (Jr., Wakefield, Mass.) - Captured first place in the 400 meters at this weekend's George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell. Ran a time of 58.04 to break the school record and also qualify for the New England Championships. Also placed seventh in the 200 meters (26.82).

Nicole Radzik, Bryant (Sr., Sutton, Mass.) - Took first place in the 5000 meter in Saturday's George Davis Invitational, setting a new school record with a time of 18:04.31. The time was also good enough to earn a qualifying standard for the New England Championships in May.

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshmen of the Week

Thomas O'Connor, Bryant (Fr., Westwood, Mass.) - Took home third-place finishes in the 400 meters in 49.72 seconds and the 100 meters in 11.14 seconds in Saturday's George Davis Invitational. Also anchored the winning 4x100 meter relay for the Bulldogs (42.81).

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week

Jenna Lapachinski, UMass-Lowell (Fr., Turners Falls, Mass.) - Captured both the 400 meter hurdles (1:06.89) and led the 4X400 meter relay to first place in 4:18.25 at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Terry Young, UMass-Lowell (Sr., Mansfield, Mass.) - Won the long jump (23' 8.25'') and the triple jump (43' 11.75'') and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship in the former at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational. Long jump result currently ranks as the fifth-best distance in the country.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Jacqui Barrett, UMass-Lowell (So., Woburn, Mass.) - Won the shot put title at the George Davis Invitational with a throw of 44' 7.5''. Also placed third in the discus with a distance of 99' 5.0''.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week

Dave Kusmin, Bentley (Fr., Westwood, Mass.) - Set a personal best of 20'10" while finishing fifth of 21 in the long jump at the George Davis Invitational. Was also seventh of 14 in the triple jump with a distance of 41'5.25".

Weekly Honor Roll:

Conor Gallagher, Assumption (So., Chicago, Ill.) - Placed second in the long jump with a distance of 6.56 meters (21 feet, 6.25 inches) at the UMASS-Lowell Invitational.

Kevin Chan, Bentley (Sr., Newton, Mass.) - Was first amongst NE-10 athletes in the discus at the George Davis Invitational, with a throw of 132'8" good for third of 23 overall. Was also third of 16 in the shot out, 45'7.25".

Corinne Flieger, Bentley (Fr., Hopkinton, Mass.) - At the George Davis Invitationalfinished third amongst 18 competitors and second amongst NE-10 runners. Also finished sixth of 13 in the high jump (4'10.25") and 11th of 37 in the 200 (27.28), and was a member of the 4x100 relay team that finished third of eight with a season best time of 51.16.

Mary Sanker, Bryant (Sr., Milford, N.J.) - Captured top honors in the pole vault in Saturday's George Davis Invitational, clearing eight feet, six inches.

Haley Catarius, UMass-Lowell (So., Marshfield, Mass.) - Captured the 800 meters (2:18.63) at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational Saturday.

Andrew Grange, UMass-Lowell (Jr., Methuen, Mass.) - Won the 400 meter dash (47.99) and ran a leg on UMass Lowell's 4X400 meter relay team which placed first in 3:28.49. Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship in the 400 meter dash and currently ranks 12th in the country.

Tristin Johnson, UMass-Lowell (Sr., Pittsfield, Mass.) - Ran a leg on UMass Lowell's 4X100 and 4X400 meter relays which both placed first at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational. Guided the 4X100 team to a time of 48.92 seconds and the 4X400 to a time of 4:18.25.

Rex Radloff, UMass-Lowell (Jr., Dedham, Mass.) - Won the two-mile race (9:03.85), setting a meet and facility record, at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational. Bested the previous meet/facility record of 9:19.63 by more than 15 seconds.

Melissa Bredice, Saint Rose (So., Colonie, N.Y.) - Highlighted the Saint Rose effort at the George Davis Invitational on Saturday with a third place finish in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:01.44.

Kevin Jackson, Saint Rose (Jr., Schenectady, N.Y.) - Took third in the 110m hurdles and anchored the 4x400 and 4x100 relay squads that were second and fourth respectively at the George Davis Invitational on Saturday. Was clocked in 15.81 for the 110m hurdles, while the relay quartets came across the line in 3:35.94 and 44.35.

McNeil Johnson, Southern Connecticut (Jr., East Hartford, Conn.) - Finished fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.08 seconds at the Tony Waldrop Invitational. Also reached an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:12.70 as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team.

Tyrone Joseph, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Norwalk, Conn.) - Was a member of the 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter relay teams at the Tony Waldrop Invitational. The 4x100 team placed fifth with a time of 41.13 seconds. The 4x400 team finished third with a time of 3:12.70. Both team reached NCAA provisional qualifying times.

Sasha Saylor, Southern Connecticut (So., Hartford, Conn.) - Reached an NCAA provisional mark in the triple jump en route to placing second in the event at the 2008 Brown Invitational with a leap of 38'3.5”.

Symone Wong, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Laurelton, N.Y.) - Earned three top ten finishes at the Tony Waldrop Invitational. Ran to an eighth place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.40 seconds. Was also a member of the 4x100 meter relay team that finished fourth with a time of 47.83 seconds. Was on the 4x400 meter relay team, which also finished fourth, running 3:57.20.

Sutton Underwood, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Norwalk, Conn.) - Won the pole vault at the Brown invitational with a vault of 15’5”.

Meghan Rocha, Stonehill (So., Nashua, N.H.) - Took first place in the discus at the George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass-Lowell.

BENTLEY: At the George Davis Invitational, freshman Corinne Flieger broke a 19-year-old school record in the 100 meter hurdles, posting a time of 16.21 seconds. That bettered the former standard by 0.03 seconds.
