Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Torrey Price, Stonehill (Sr., Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) - At the Reebok games, won the 55 meter dash (6.41) and the finished first in the 200 meters (22.27).

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Haley Catarius, UMass Lowell (Jr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Won the distance medley relay and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship for the second time this season at the Reebok Boston Invitational. Ran the 800 meters in 2:16 to help the distance medley relay team place first and meet the NCAA provision in 12:01.07. Also placed fifth overall; first among Division II-III athletes; in the open 800 meters in 2:15.49.

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week

Mike Vatti, Bentley (Fr., Easton, Pa.) - At the Reebok Boston Indoor Games, finished 3rd of 30 (behind runners from Maine and BC) in the 500 meters with a PR time of 1:06.51, and was 8th of 41 in the 55-meter dash, with his qualifying time of 6.56 seconds placing him second on Bentley’s all-time list in the event. Also ran a leg on Bentley’s 4x400 relay team that posted a time of 3:32.71.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week

Ashley Zielinski, UMass Lowell (Fr., Manchester, N.H.) - Placed third overall, first among Division II-III athletes, in the 55 meter hurdles at the Reebok Boston Invitational in 8.60 seconds.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

Maurice Calenda, American International (So., Bloomfield, Conn.) - Finished first in the long jump and second in the triple jump at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic. Leaped a distance of 6.63 meters in the long jump and went for a school-record 13.62 meters in the triple jump.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Jacqui Barrett, UMass Lowell (Jr., Woburn, Mass.) - Placed second overall, tops among Division II-III throwers, in the shot put at the Reebok Boston Games. Threw for a distance of 44 feet, 11.0 inches.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Freshman of the Week

Jeffrey Williams, Jr., Southern Connecticut (Fr., Stratford, Conn.) - Placed eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.35 meters at the Metropolitan Championships

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Freshman of the Week

Vlada Shelkova, Stonehill (Fr., Newington, Conn.) - Finished 8th in the long jump with a distance of 16'9.75; and was 6th in the triple jump (34'11.75) and was the top Division II finisher in both events at the Reebok Games.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Bidemi Balogun, American International (Fr., Providence, R.I.) - Placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.27 meters at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic.

Dominic Smith, American International (Fr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - Placed second in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:07.15 and placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.93 seconds at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic.

Kevin Dabreio, Assumption (Jr., Billerica, Mass.) - Finished 2nd in the shot put with a career best distance of 12.31m/40-04.75.

Anthony Dowd, Assumption (So., Somerset, Mass.) - Won the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 8.20 at the Wheaton Invitational.

Bernard Scott, Assumption (Jr., St. Petersburg, Fla.) - Finished 2nd in the 55-meters with a time of 6.46 set a school record. Also finished 3rd in the 200-meters with a time of 22.98 also setting a school record at the Wheaton Invitational.

Dan Darcy, Bentley (Jr., Sharon, Mass.) - Was sixth of 30 in the 500 meters at the Reebok Indoor Games, with his time of 1:07.14 a personal best.

Keisha Johnson, Bentley (Fr., Randolph, Mass.) - At the Reebok Indoor Games, finished eighth of 11 in the triple jump (34’2.25”) and 16th of 26 in the long jump (15’5.5”). Was third amongst non-Division I competitors in both events. Also competed in the 55 meter dash with a time of 8.17 seconds.

Tim Guerin, UMass Lowell (Jr., Auburn, Mass.) - Placed seventh overall, tops among Division II and III athletes, in the mile in 4:22.73 at the Reebok Boston Games. Also ran the mile (4:30.1) on UMass Lowell’s distance medley relay team which placed second in 10:33.41.

Angus MacDonald, UMass Lowell (So., Methuen, Mass.) - Won the 1,000 meters at the Reebok Boston Games with a time of 2:31.46 and helped UMass Lowell to sixth place in the 13-team field.

Cory Murray, UMass Lowell (So., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed third overall, first among Division II-III throwers, in the shot put at the Reebok Boston Invitational with a distance of 48’ 2.75”

Kevin Jackson, Saint Rose (Sr., Schenectady, N.Y.) – Broke two school records to pace the Golden Knights to a 15th place finish at Colgate's Class of '32 Invitational. Went 13.03 meters to take fifth in the triple jump and ran a ninth place, 60-meter dash time of 7.28.

Chris Croff, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Lisbon, Conn.) - Finished third in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:12.96 at the Metropolitan Championships.

Sasha Mathelier, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Freeport, N.Y.) – Had a second place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 3.65 meters and finished eighth in the high jump with a leap of 1.55 meters at the Metropolitan Championships.

Letecia Taylor, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Plainfield, N.J.) - Claimed fourth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.80 seconds at the Metropolitan Championships.

Joe D'Agostino, Stonehill (Jr., Canton, Mass.) - Finished second in the high jump (6'8), and broke the school record in the event at the Reebok Games on Friday.

Matt Meagher, Stonehill (Sr., Mansfield, Mass.) - Finished seventh overall and was the top Division II finisher in the 5000 meters at the Reebok games with a time of 15:00.30.

Susan O'Connell, Stonehill (Fr., East Greenwich, R.I.) - Took seventh place in the 500 meters with a time of 1:18.52 and was the top Division II finisher at the Reebok Games.
