Northeast-10 Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Doug Caves, UMass Lowell (Jr., Oxford, Mass.) - Captured the 400 meter dash and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational. Ran the 400 meters in 47.56 seconds and bested the field of 53 runners.

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Melissa Nash, Bentley (Sr., Marshfield, Mass.) - In the outdoor season opener, finished first of 43 in the 1500 meters at the Husky Spring Open, posting a time of 4:53.87.

Northeast-10 Men’s Track Freshman of the Week
Kevin Downing, New Haven (Fr., Meriden, Conn.) - Provisionally qualified for the national meet and set school records in the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the Disney Invitational. Ran 10.62 and finished second in the 100 and ran 21.21 and finished second in the 200. Also was a member of the winning 1600-meter sprint medley relay team (3:39.57).

Northeast-10 Women’s Track Freshman of the Week
Maddy McDonnell, Bentley (Fr., San Francisco, Calif.) - Was 8th of 27 in the 800 meters at the Husky Spring Open, turning in a 2:33.23.

Northeast-10 Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Maurice Calenda, American International (So., Bloomfield, Conn.) - Won the triple jump with a distance of 13.96 meters and finished second in the long jump with a leap of 6.21 meters at the Northeastern Spring Open. Also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.07 seconds and ran the first leg of the 4x100 relay that set a school record in 43.53 seconds and took first place.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Olivia Thibou, American International (Jr., Boston, Mass.) - Set school records in both the triple jump and long jump at the Northeastern Spring Open. In the triple, came in first with a distance of 10.74 meters and in the long jump, finished third with a leap of 4.74 meters.

Northeast-10 Women’s Field Freshman of the Week
Keisha Johnson, Bentley (Fr., Randolph, Mass.) - At the Husky Spring Open, finished second of five in the triple jump (33’1”) and was sixth of 12 in the long jump (14’8.75”).

Weekly Honor Roll:

Dominic Smith, American International (Fr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - Took first place in the 200-meter dash with a school record time of 22.53 seconds and also earned the top spot in the 400 with a time of 48.96 seconds at the Northeastern Spring Open. Was also the second leg of the 4x100 relay team that finished first in a school record time of 43.53 seconds.

Anthony Dowd, Assumption (Fr., Somerset, Mass.) - At the Northeastern University Husky Invitational, placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.08 a personal best time.

Peter Jusseaume, Assumption (Fr., Marshfield, Mass.) - At the Northeastern University Husky Invitational placed 2nd in the 800-meters with a time of 1:59.97 setting a personal best time.

Chris O'Day, Assumption (Jr., Braintree, Mass.) - At the Northeastern University Husky Invitational, won the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:08.25 and also placed third in the 800-meters with a time of 2:01.63.

Amy Papalia, Bentley (Sr., Marlboro, Mass.) - Finished 2nd of 27 in the 800 meters during the Husky Spring Open with a time of 2:29.30.

Mike Vatti, Bentley (Fr., Easton, Pa.) - Finished second in a 21-man field in the 400 meters during the Husky Spring Open, recording a time of 49.29 seconds. Also helped Bentley finish second of five in the 4x100 relay (44.42).

Jacqui Barrett, UMass Lowell (Jr., Woburn, Mass.) - Placed fourth overall in the shot put at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational with a throw of 43' 1.75 inches, topping the Division II-III field.

Donte Brown, UMass Lowell (So., Raynham, Mass.) - Placed sixth overall in a field of 53 sprinters in the 400 meter dash in 48.42 seconds at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational.

Haley Catarius, UMass Lowell (Jr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Placed second overall in the 800 meters and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational. Ran the course in 2:12.64, easing past the NCAA provsion of 2:15.00.

Jack Kilcommons, UMass Lowell (Sr., South Boston, Mass.) - Placed third overall (second among II-III runners) in the 3,000 meters in 8:50.16 at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational.

Eric McDonald, UMass Lowell (Fr., Groveland, Mass.) - Placed sixth overall (second among Division II-III athletes) in the 1,500 meters in 4:06.09; and 15th (fifth) in the 800 meters in 2:01.62 at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational.

Alesha Chu Foo, New Haven (Fr., Bridgeport, Conn.) - Finished third in the high jump with a leap of 1.52 meters at the Disney Invitational.

Shannon Gagne, New Haven (Jr., Meriden, Conn.) - Set two school records and provisionally qualified for nationals in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. Ran 12.06 in the 100, finishing fourth and ran 24.96 in the 200. Was also a member of the third place 400-meter relay team (48.42) and placed third in the long jump (5.55 meters).
