Bryant Earns Top Seed in NE-10 Volleyball Championship

South Easton, Mass. – The Bulldogs of Bryant University have
earned the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Volleyball
Championship hosted by Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.
Bryant finished a perfect 14-0 in conference play to earn the
team’s third Northeast-10 Regular Season Title in five years.
Bentley (13-1, NE-10), last season’s tournament champion,
follows as the second seed. The Bulldogs and Falcons are making
their 27th straight appearance in the volleyball championship. They
are the only NE-10 schools to make the conference tournament each
season since its inaugural year in 1981.
Merrimack College earned the third seed after finishing the season
11-3 in conference play. Franklin Pierce University (10-4, NE-10)
received the fourth seed followed by Pace University (9-5, NE-10)
as the fifth seed.
The University of Massachusetts Lowell (7-7, NE-10), Le Moyne
College (7-7, NE-10) and the College of Saint Rose (7-7, NE-10)
round out the remaining seeds at sixth, seventh and eighth
respectively as determined by the conference tiebreak
procedures.
Quarterfinal matches include #1 Bryant versus #8 Saint Rose and #2
Bentley versus #7 Le Moyne at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 followed by
#3 Merrimack versus #6 UMass Lowell and #4 Franklin Pierce versus
#5 Pace at 7:30 p.m.
The semifinal round will take place 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10
followed by the championship match at 7 p.m. which will be aired
via the internet as part of the NCAA Division II Volleyball Match
