COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College has announced
that Chris Kilmer, an assistant coach for the Purple Knights’
volleyball team for the last three seasons, has been promoted to
head coach.
Kilmer, the eighth coach in the program’s 29-year history,
replaces Emily Decker, who resigned last month after four
successful seasons as head coach of the NCAA Division II program.

including an 11-victory campaign in 2006.
“I am both honored and excited by the opportunity to lead the
Saint Michael’s volleyball program,” said Kilmer.

teams in the highly-competitive Northeast-10 Conference.”

University), Kilmer was a four-year member of the Panthers’
volleyball team, and also served as a student assistant coach for
the women’s program. He captained the squad and was the
club’s president from 1997-99, and was named the team’s
