Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Likica Grceva, Bryant (Sr., OH, Natick, Mass.) - Helped lead Bryant to its fifth Northeast-10 Conference tournament title by averaging 4.80 kills and 3.0 digs per game in three conference tournament matches over the weekend. Had 25 kills and hit .333 in the title match victory over Merrimack and earned MVP Honors at the 2007 Conference Championship.

Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

Tori Piskulick, Bentley (Jr., S, San Diego, Calif.) - Averaged a tournament-best 15.67 assists, 3.5 digs and one kill in two matches in the NE-10 playoffs. Had 47 assists in each match, a 3-0 win over Le Moyne and a 3-0 loss to Merrimack.

Northeast-10 Libero of the Week

Cassie Kraft, Bentley (So., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - Averaged a tournament-high 7.33 digs during the Northeast-10 playoffs, with 22 in both match. Topped 1,000 digs for her career.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Molly Cindric, Merrimack (Fr., OH, Westlake Village, Calif.) - Averaged 4.10 kills and 3.50 digs per game during the Northeast-10 Tournament. Also had eight blocks and one service ace.

Weekly Honor Roll:


Christina Sadowski, Bentley (Sr., MH, Salem, N.H.) - Was Bentley's representative on the All-Tournament Team at the conference championships after hitting .500 (second highest in the tournament) and averaging 3.83 kills and 1.33 blocks. Hit .722 (14-1-18) versus Le Moyne in the quarterfinals and had nine kills and seven blocks against Merrimack in the semis.

Tiffany Garry, Bryant (Sr., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - Averaged 11.90 assists per game and tallied 30 digs defensively to help lead Bryant to the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Championship. Had 48 assists in the championship win over Merrimack and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Miranda Kolb, Bryant (Fr., OH, Holt, Mich.) - Helped lead Bryant to its fifth conference tournament title by averaging 2.10 kills and 1.3 blocks per game in three tournament wins. Had 21 kills for the weekend including eight in a semifinal win over Pace and added seven kills plus seven blocks in the championship win over Merrimack.

Jillian Hadder, UMass Lowell (Fr., OH, Yucaipa, Calif.) - Named to the Northeast-10 All-Tournament Team after compiling 13 kills and 16 digs in a 3-0 loss to Merrimack in the first round.

Alyssa Pickert, Merrimack (Fr., L, Tinley Park, Ill.) - Led the Warriors with 5.90 digs per game and six service aces during the Northeast-10 Tournament.

Ashley D'Agostini, Pace (Sr., S, San Diego, Calif.) - Averaged 11 assists and hit .310 with 10 kills and 1.8 digs in three matches. Against New York Tech, totaled four kills, 37 assists and eight digs. In a Northeast-10 Tournament win over Franklin Pierce, recorded 39 assists, five kills and four digs. Posted a kill, 34 assists, six digs and three service aces against Bryant.

Korena Johnson, Pace (Jr., RS, Friendswood, Texas) - Averaged 4.2 kills, 2.1 digs, and 0.5 blocks in three matches. Totaled 18 kills and six digs against New York Tech. Posted a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, along with four service aces in an Northeast-10 Tournament win over Franklin Pierce. Recorded 11 kills, five digs, and three total blocks against Bryant.

Sianna Johnson, Pace (Fr., MH, Long Beach, Calif.) - Averaged 2.7 kills, while hitting .277 in three matches. Totaled seven kills and three digs against New York Tech. Posted eight kills, two blocks and four digs in a Northeast-10 Tournament win over Franklin Pierce. Tallied 12 kills and four digs, while hititng .440, against Bryant.

Rachel Baxter, Saint Rose (Fr., OH, Stratford, Conn.) - Registered eight kills and eight digs in a 3-0 setback to Bryant in a Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinal match. Hit .211 in the contest.

Weekly Notes:


BENTLEY: Received an NCAA Division II tournament bid for the fourth straight year, the sixth time in seven years and the ninth time overall. Seniors Christina Sadowski and Carey Demos (Bakersfield, Calif.) were named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District college division first team and will be eligible for Academic All-America honors. Sadowski, a member of the All-Tournament Team at the conference championships, became Bentley's first NE-10 Volleyball Player of the Year since 1996 and the program's fifth three-time first-team All-Conference pick. Bentley placed three players on the All-NE-10 first-team for the first time since 1988.

BRYANT: Won its fifth Northeast-10 Conference tournament title over the weekend. Senior Likicia Grceva was named the tournament's MVP while senior Tiffany Garry was named to the all-tournament team. The Bulldogs, ranked No. 2in the Northeast Region, will qualify for the program's 11th NCAA tournament when regional play begins this week.

MERRIMACK: The Warriors were selected to their first-ever NCAA Tournament after defeating Bentley College in the NE-10 Semifinals, 3-0.

PACE: Senior Ashley D'Agostini finished her Pace career with 2480 assists, good for third all-time in school history. D'Agostini averaged 12.17 assists in two Northeast-10 Tournament matches, earning her a spot on the NE-10 All-Tournament Team.
