Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Stephanie Brink, Saint Rose (Sr., OH, Port Ewen, N.Y.) - Hit .331 with 59 kills in a 4-1 week. In a 3-0 win at Dominican, finished with 14 kills and a .579 hitting percentage. Against USP, recorded 13 kills and three blocks in a 3-1 win. Against Philadelphia University, recorded 16 kills in the 3-2 come from behind victory.

Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

Jessica Weaver, Saint Rose (Jr., S, Dolgeville, N.Y.) - Piled up 175 assists for an average of 9.72 per-game in a 4-1 week. Also had 39 digs and six blocks. In a 3-1 victory over USP, totaled 40 assists and 14 digs and in the 3-2 come from behind victory over Philadelphia, recorded 42 assists and 14 digs.

Northeast-10 Libero of the Week

Mary German, Saint Rose (So., L, Canandaigua, N.Y.) - Registered 116 digs, an average of 6.44 per-game during a 4-1 week. Against USP, she recorded 23 digs and six aces in a 3-1 win. Against Philadelphia, had 44 digs to lead the defensive effort in a 3-2 come from behind victory.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Jillian Hadder, UMass Lowell (Fr., OH, Yucaipa, Calif.) - Posted averages of 3.5 kills, 2.25 digs and 0.88 service aces while hitting .365 in a 1-1 week. Had eight kills, nine digs and three service aces in a 3-0 win over Post University. Followed with 20 kills, 10 digs and four aces while hitting .395 in a 3-2 loss to Concordia.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Lauren Raswyck, Assumption (Sr., L, Litchfield, N.H.) - Recorded 112 digs (9.33 per game) in a 2-1 week. Had 30 digs in a win over Mercy and 37 digs versus Saint Michael’s. Registered 45 digs (16 in first set) in a four-set win over Felician.

Courtney Stratton, Assumption (So., MH, Hudson, N.H.) – Hit .250 and had 22 kills and seven blocks (6 solo) in a 2-1 week. Hit .417 while recording 12 kills in a win over Felician.

Carey Demos, Bentley (Sr., MH, Bakersfield, Calif.) - Hit .438 and averaged 2.29 kills and 0.86 blocks in two matches at the UNH Baden Invitational. Had seven kills, three blocks and a .500 hitting percentage against Bridgeport in a 3-0 win, and a .400 hitting percentage, nine kills and three blocks in a 3-1 loss to New Haven.

Susan Harrahy, Bentley (Jr., OH, Nashua, N.H.) - Averaged 4.71 kills, two digs and 0.57 aces, and had a .152 hitting percentage, after splitting two matches at the New Haven Baden Invitational. Hit .464 with 17 kills, six digs and two aces in a 3-0 win over Bridgeport. Had 16 kills in a 3-1 loss to New Haven.

Tori Piskulick, Bentley (Jr., S, San Diego, Calif.) - Averaged 11.71 assists and 3.14 digs during a 1-1 week. Had 41 assists in each match, a 3-0 win over Bridgeport and a 3-1 loss to New Haven. Also had 15 digs against Bridgeport, and four kills and two aces in the New Haven match.

Tiffany Garry, Bryant (Sr., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - Was named to the Lewis University Flyer Festival All-Tournament team after averaging 7.17 assists and 2.25 digs per game. Had 25 assists against Southern Indiana and added 22 assists and a pair of aces in a loss to Wisconsin-Parkside.

Nicole Buchholz, Franklin Pierce (Jr., MH, Ashburn, Va.) - Recorded 37 kills and 16 blocks in three matches this past week, while adding five digs and two service aces. Recorded 18 kills and eight blocks in the 3-2 comeback win over C.W. Post.

Michelle Koike, Franklin Pierce (Fr., MH, San Francisco, Calif.) - Averaged over 10 kills, three digs, two blocks and a service ace in three matches. Recorded 12 kills and had two service aces in the fifth game of the team’s 3-2 comeback win over C.W. Post.

Alana McNeil, Saint Anselm (Sr., MH, Lawrence, Mass.) - In a 1-3 weekend was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Haverford Invitational. Finished the tournament with 31 kills, nine blocks, and three service aces.

Emma Briscoe, Saint Michael's (Fr., OH, Petersburg, Ind.) - Tallied 37 kills and 48 digs in a 2-2 week. Against Assumption, recorded 11 kills and 16 digs.

Amy Manougian, Saint Michael's (Jr., S, Rye, N.H.) - Recorded 80 assists in a 2-2 week with 27 in the loss to Southern Connecticut.

Stephanie Smetana, Saint Michael's (Jr., L, Independence, Mo.) - Recorded 115 digs in four games in a 2-2 week. Tallied 42 digs in a four-set victory over Assumption.

Ashley Coombs, Southern Connecticut (Jr., S, Trumbull, Conn.) – Dished out 21 assists in a 3-2 win over Bloomfield and repeated the performance with another 21 assists in the nightcap, a 3-0 win over Molloy. Had 12 assists in the 3-2 win over Saint Michael’s.

Nekane Mendizabal, Southern Connecticut (Jr., MH, Stratford, Conn.) – Had 24 digs and 18 kills in a 3-2 win over Bloomfield. Had six kills and 22 digs in a 3-0 win over Molloy. Recorded eight kills and added 14 digs in a win over Saint Michael's, 3-2.

Katherine Masson, Stonehill (Jr., OH, Acushnet, Mass.) - At the University of New Haven's Baden Invitational, recorded seven kills in the 3-0 loss to Bridgeport and then had nine in the loss to New Haven.

Weekly Notes:

ASSUMPTION: Senior libero Lauren Raswyck had 37 digs in last Saturday morning’s non-conference match versus Saint Michael’s and moved into second place on the career dig list (now has 1,477), behind only Anne LeClerc ’03 (1,820). In the afternoon match against Felician, she set a new school record for most digs in a four-game match with 45, one shy of tying her career-high and school match record of 46 (at Saint Michael's, 10-14-06).
