Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Molly Cindric, Merrimack (So., OH, Westlake Village, Calif.) – Averaged 3.57 kills and 3.07 digs per game this past weekend in four matches. Had a total of 50 kills and 27 digs.

Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

Andrea Wirth, Stonehill (So., S, Mesa, Ariz.) - Recorded 42 assists (8.40 per game) in a 3-0 week with victories over Virginia State, Mercy and Kutztown.

Northeast-10 Libero of the Week

Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - During a 2-2 season-opening weekend at C.W. Post, averaged 4.81 digs. Had a high of 24 digs in a five-game loss to Regis (Colo.).

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Michelle Thornhill, Stonehill (Fr., OH, Canyon Lake, Calif.) - Had 16 kills with a .293 hitting percentage and 15 digs in the team’s first six games, leading the Skyhawks to a 3-0 record, including a 3-1 win over Kutztown. Averaged 2.67 kills and 2.50 digs per game.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Alex Kearney, Bentley (Jr., OH, La Jolla, Calif.) - Averaged 2.81 kills, 2.19 digs and 0.5 blocks during four matches at the C.W. Post Pioneer Invitational, and hit .219 during the 2-2 weekend. Had highs of 14 kills and a .297 hitting percentage versus C.W. Post, 13 digs against Regis and three blocks versus New York Tech.

Virginia Wong, Bentley (Fr., OH, Quincy, Mass.) - In her first four matches as a collegian, averaged 2.06 kills and 1.88 digs while hitting .114. Had 10 kills versus New York Tech and 12 digs against Dallas Baptist.

Nicole Buchholz, Franklin Pierce (Sr., MH, Broadlands, Va.) - Had 10 kills, four digs, two blocks and two aces against New York Tech on Saturday and collected two kills and a block later against Regis. On Sunday, hammered out nine kills against C.W. Post and against Dallas Baptist, tallied 12 kills. Averaged 2.20 kills per game for the week.

Elyse Lorenz, Merrimack (So., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - Averaged 30.5 assists in four matches (8.71 assists per game), including a 47 assist, 10 dig performance in a 3-1 win over CSU Monterey.

Leah Filonuk, Southern Connecticut (Fr., RS, Greenlawn, N.Y.) – Had 31 kills in a 3-1 week. Averaged 2.21 per game.

Andrea Nolan, Southern Connecticut (Fr., S, Ridgefield, N.J.) – Recorded 109 assists (7.78 per game) in a 3-1 week.

Jenna Tammel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., RS, Spring Valley, Minn.) – Had a total of 48 kills (3.4 per game) in a 3-1 week.

Stephanie Dluginski, Southern New Hampshire (So., MH, Floral Park, N.Y.) - Registered 17 kills and four block assists in a five-set setback to Post.

During the C.W. Post Pioneer Invitational, senior Tori Piskulick (San Diego, Calif.) became the first player in the program’s history to amass both 4,000 career assists and 1,000 digs.
