Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Elizabeth Cheek, Le Moyne (Jr., OH, Huntington Beach, Calif.) -
Recorded 46 kills (3.54/gm) and 40 digs (3.08/gm) in a 3-1 week.
Landed 15 kills in a 3-1 loss to Bridgeport. Registered 13 kills
and 12 digs in the 3-0 sweep of Caldwell. Contributed 14 kills and
eight digs in a 3-0 sweep of Stonehill. Named to the invitational
all-tournament team.
Northeast-10 Setter and Freshman of the Week
Shea Hansen, Pace (Fr., S, Mesa, Ariz.) – Led the team with
11.56 assists per game along with 2.22 digs and nine total aces in
a 3-0 week. Posted 38 assists, six digs, and two service aces in a
win over Bloomfield. Recorded 33 assists, five aces and four digs
in a win over Felician. Totaled 33 assists, 10 digs and two aces in
a win over Mercy.
Northeast-10 Libero of the Week
Mary German, Saint Rose (Jr., L, Canandaigua, N.Y.) - Averaged 3.50
digs and served up four aces throughout a 2-1 week. Had 10 digs in
a 3-0 sweep over Dominican and had 27 digs in a 3-2
come-from-behind victory at New York Tech. Also registered five
digs in a 3-1 setback versus Queens.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jessica Haller, Assumption (Jr., OH, Meriden, Conn.) - In a 1-2
week for Assumption she posted 24 kills (2.18), 23 (2.09) digs, and
five serving aces. Also selected to the Assumption College
Volleyball all-tournament team.
Karissa Hookstadt, Franklin Pierce (Sr., S, Camarillo, Calif.) -
Dished out a 33 assists against Assumption, 38 assists against
UMass Lowell and 20 assists against Georgian Court. Averaged 8.27
assists per game for the week.
Emily Schultz, Franklin Pierce (Sr., RS, Salem, Wis.) - Recorded
double-digit digs twice in a 1-3 week. Recorded five digs, three
kills, two assists, an ace and a block in a 3-0 win over
Assumption. Tallied 12 digs, six kills, two aces and a block in a
3-1 loss at UMass Lowell. Had 15 assists, 14 digs and 10 kills
against Merrimack.
Kaylin Brainerd, Le Moyne (Jr., S, Liverpool, N.Y.) - Registered
107 assists (8.23/gm) in a 3-1 week. Dished out 34 assists
(8.50/gm) in a 3-1 loss to Bridgeport. Handed out 25 assists
against Stonehill and recorded 30 assists and four service aces
against Caldwell in a pair of 3-0 sweeps.
Elsa LeGrand, UMass Lowell (Jr., OH, Highlands Ranch, Colo.)
– In four matches (16 games), posted averages of 2.88 kills,
2.00 digs and 0.96 blocks in a 1-3 week. Highlights included 17
kills and nine blocks in a 3-1 victory over Franklin Pierce; and 13
kills and 14 digs in a 3-2 loss at Southern New Hampshire.
Nichole Rondeau, UMass Lowell (Jr., S, Dracut, Mass.) – In
four matches (16 games) posted averages of 8.62 assists, 2.19 digs
and 0.56 service aces in a 1-3 week. Highlights included earning
All-Tournament Team honors at the UMass Lowell Invitational. Dished
out 39 assists in a 3-1 win over Franklin Pierce and 42 in a 3-1
loss to Georgian Court.
Molly Cindric, Merrimack (So., MH, Westlake Village, Calif.)
– Led the team to a 3-1 week. Tallied 14 kills and 13 digs
against Georgian Court. Averaged 15 kills in three matches at the
Lowell Tournament this past weekend while being named to the
all-tournament team.
Charisse Cotton, New Haven (Sr., OH, East Patchogue, N.Y.) -
Recorded 3.95 kills per game in a 2-3 week. Tallied 75 kills and 27
errors on 162 attempts for a .296 hitting percentage. Added nine
total blocks as well.
Rhe-Ann Niles, New Haven (Sr., MH, St. Thomas, Barbados) - Recorded
61 kills (3.21 kills per game) and 19 errors on 113 attempts for a
.372 hitting percentage this past week. Recorded 27 blocks (1.42
blocks per game) and 17 digs as well in a 2-3 week.
Yael Rosner, New Haven (Sr., S, Haifa, Israel) - Handed out 201
assists in a 2-3 week. Averaged 10.58 assists per game and recorded
only three ball-handling errors all week. Added 1.21 kills per game
and 3.05 digs per game as well.
Danielle Furka, Pace (Sr., OH, Massapequa, N.Y.) - Averaged three
kills per game (27 total) and 2.89 digs (26 total), while posting
six service aces in a 3-0 week. Recorded nine kills, 10 digs and
two aces in a win over Bloomfield. Posted five kills, seven digs,
and one ace in a win over Felician. Tallied 12 kills, nine, digs
and three aces in a win over Mercy.
Sianna Johnson, Pace (So., MH, Long Beach, Calif.) - Recorded 32
kills (3.56/game), while posting a .306 hitting percentage in a 3-0
week. Led the team with 14 kills in a win over Bloomfield. Posted
10 kills in a win over Felician. Totaled eight kills in a win over
Mercy.
Charlotte Tencza, Saint Anselm (Fr., OH, Greenfield, Mass.) -
Compiles 38 kills an 34 digs in a 2-1 week. Had 17 kills and 13
digs in a 3-1 win over Nyack and 14 kills and 13 digs in a 3-2
victory over conference rival Assumption.
Marilyn Glamack, Saint Rose (Fr., OH, Victor, N.Y.) - Averaged 3.25
kills, 2.08 digs and hit .305 during a 2-1 week. Had 39 total
kills, 25 digs and six aces. In a 3-0 victory over Dominican,
finished with 12 kills and hit .455. In a 3-1 setback to Queens,
recorded eight kills to go with three aces and five digs. Finally,
registered 19 kills and 17 digs in a 3-2 come-from-behind triumph
at New York Tech.
Laura Huselton, Stonehill (Fr., OH, Penfield, N.Y.) - In two
matches against Bridgeport and Caldwell, had 17 kills and one error
on 36 attempts for a .444 attack percentage and 11 digs. On Sunday,
had 16 kills in two matches, including seven service aces in the
match against the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Weekly Notes:
SAINT MICHAEL’S: Recorded the team’s
seventh win of season on Saturday, matching win total from last
year.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Brianna Doucet (Danville,
N.H. became the third player in program history to record her
1,000th career dig Tuesday against UMass Lowell.
