Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Molly Cindric, Merrimack (So., MH, Westlake Village, Calif.) - Led
the Warriors to a 3-0 week, averaging 3.1 kills, 2.6 digs and 1.1
blocks in 10 games this past week.
Northeast-10 Setter of the Week
Andrea Wirth, Stonehill (So., S, Mesa, Ariz.) – In a 1-1
week, averaged 11.7 assists per set. Had 32 assists and four digs
in a 3-0 win over Southern New Hampshire and a career high 50
assists (12.5 per set) and six digs in a 3-1 loss to Merrimack.
Northeast-10 Libero of the Week
Chelsie Kohout, Franklin Pierce (So., L, Harrison Township, Mich.)
- Averaged five digs per set in a 2-1 week. Recorded 13 digs
against Saint Michael's. Racked up 29 digs at Bridgeport and
chipped in 18 digs at C.W. Post.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Michelle Thornhill, Stonehill (Fr., OH, Canyon Lake, Calif.) - In
a 1-1 week, averaged 3.85 kills per set and 2.85 digs per set,
including 14 kills and a .565 attack percentage in a 3-0 win
against Southern New Hampshire.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kelly Blumenauer, Assumption (Jr., L, Islip Terrace, N.Y.) - In a
1-1 week made 36 digs, an average of 4.5 digs per game. Including a
match high of 16 digs in a victory over Saint Anselm.
Alex Kearney, Bentley (Jr., OH, La Jolla, Calif.) - During a 1-1
week, averaged 3.29 kills, 2.71 digs, 0.43 blocks and 3.79 points.
Had 10 kills, 13 digs and two aces in a 3-1 loss to New Haven and a
match-best 13 kills in a 3-0 win at Pace. Hit .125 for the
week.
Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - Averaged
4.43 digs and 0.86 service aces during a 1-1 week. Had 17 kills in
a three-game sweep at Pace and served three aces against both Pace
and New Haven.
Karissa Hookstadt, Franklin Pierce (Sr., S, Camarillo, Calif.) -
Averaged 10.58 assists and 2.42 digs per set in a 2-1 week.
Recorded 42 assists, eight kills and five digs against Saint
Michael's. Recorded 52 assists and 15 digs at Bridgeport and 33
assists and nine digs at C.W. Post.
Kaylin Brainerd, Le Moyne (Jr., S, Liverpool, N.Y.) - Registered
84 assists (10.50/gm), 16 digs (2.00/gm), six blocks (0.75/gm) and
five kills in a 1-1 week. Posted 43 assists, seven digs, six blocks
and three kills in a 3-1 win over Southern Connecticut. Registered
41 assists, nine digs, three service aces and two kills in a 3-1
loss to Molloy.
Caitlin Richardson, Le Moyne (Sr., MH, Victor, N.Y.) - Landed 20
kills (2.50/gm) and five blocks (0.62/gm) in a 1-1 week. Posted 12
kills and three blocks in a 3-1 win over Southern Connecticut.
Registered eight kills and two blocks in a 3-1 loss to Molloy.
Jodi Smith, Le Moyne (Sr., OH, Angola, N.Y.) - Landed 25 kills
(3.12/gm) and recorded 20 digs (2.50/gm) in a 1-1 week. Posted 13
kills, eight digs and three blocks in a 3-1 win over Southern
Connecticut. Registered 12 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 loss to
Molloy.
Jillian Hadder, UMass Lowell (So., OH, Yucaipa, Calif.) - Posted
averages of 3.53 kills and 1.33 digs while hitting .273 in a 4-0
week. Opened the week with 12 kills and four digs in a 3-0 win over
Saint Anselm; followed with 15 kills, 12 digs and four blocks in a
3-2 win over Adelphi at the East Stroudsburg Tournament. Registered
seven kills in a 3-0 win over Bowie State and capped the tournament
with 19 kills and four digs while hitting .310 in a 3-1 win over
the host Warriors.
Elyse Lorenz, Merrimack (So., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - In a 3-0 week,
averaged 10.3 assists, and 2.7 digs in 10 games. Added a team-high
nine service aces.
Rhe-Ann Niles, New Haven (Gr., MH, St. Thomas, Barbados) - Led the
team with six blocks (two solo, four assists) and tied for second
with 11 kills in a 1-0 week. Hit .240 for the week and added seven
digs and three aces.
Yael Rosner, New Haven (Sr., S, Haifa, Israel) - Dished out a
team-high 42 assists in a 1-0 week. Tied for the team lead with 16
digs and added seven kills while hitting a team-best .400. Also had
one ace and one block.
Charlotte Tencza, Saint Anselm (Fr., OH, Greenfield, Mass.) - Had
30 kills (3.75 per set) and 24 digs (3.0 per set) in two games this
past week, including a 21 kill 17 dig performance against
Assumption on Saturday.
Marilyn Glamack, Saint Rose (Fr., OH, Victor, N.Y.) - Averaged
2.67 kills and 2.67 digs during a 1-1 week. Totaled 24 kills, 24
digs and three aces throughout the two matches and totaled 12 digs
and seven kills in a 3-1 victory at Concordia. Tied a season-high
with 17 kills to go with 12 digs in a 3-2 setback at Saint
Michael’s.
Jenna Tammel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., RS, Spring Valley, Minn.)
- Averaged three kills per set, with a total of 21. Also had 19
digs, averaging 2.71 per set and three service aces.
Katherine Masson, Stonehill (Sr., OH, Acushnet, Mass.) - Hit .328
with 4.14 kills per set in a 1-1 week, including a career high 20
kills in a 3-1 loss to Merrimack.
Therese Mance, Stonehill (So., L, Milwaukee, Wis.) - Averaged 4.29
digs per set and had two service aces in a 1-1 week, including a
career high 23 digs in a 3-1 loss to Merrimack.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Senior setter Tori Piskulick (San Diego, Calif.)
became Bentley’s all-time leader in assists during
Saturday’s victory at Pace. She recorded 20 against the
Setters and now has 4,445 for her career.
MERRIMACK: Merrimack is unbeaten through 11 conference
games for the first time in school history.
STONEHILL: In the Skyhawks 3-0 win over Southern New
Hampshire last Tuesday, senior Katherine Masson became just the
fifth player in Stonehill history to record 1000 kills.
