Four NE-10 Schools Ranked in Top Five in
Recent
Northeast Regional Poll

The NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Committee has
released this week’s Division II women’s basketball
regional rankings for contests through February 10, 2008. The
regional rankings will be released every Wednesday through March
5.
For the third straight week the top five teams find themselves in
the same position in the recent Northeast Regional rankings. Holy
Family University of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
(CACC) still claims the top spot in the region. The Tigers are
followed by four Northeast-10 schools; Stonehill College, Franklin
Pierce University, Assumption College and Bentley College in the
number two through five spots respectively.
The Northeast-10 continues to fill the poll as Southern Connecticut
State University and Saint Michael's College each jumped two spots.
The Owls were ranked eighth last week, while the Purple Knights
filled the ninth spot.
American International College, after not being ranked last week,
is ranked eighth followed by Dominican College of the CACC and
Bryant University. The Chargers and Bulldogs both dropped three
spots from the previous poll.
