Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Alexis Castro, American International (Sr., F, Chula Vista, Calif.) - Averaged a double-double with 21.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week. Scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win at Stonehill and netted 26 points with 13 boards in a win over Saint Anselm.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Molly Griffiths, Assumption (Fr., F, Walpole, Mass.) - Averaged 17.5 points and shot 71.4 percent (15-21 FG) from the floor in a 2-0 week. Scored 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting (2-3 3FG) in a victory over UMass Lowell. Had 15 points (6-11 FG), five rebounds, and two steals in a win over Southern Connecticut.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Charde Floyd, Assumption (Sr., F, Worcester, Mass.) - Averaged 11.5 points, nine rebounds, and 4.5 assists while shooting 69.2 percent (9-13 FG) from the floor in a 2-0 week. Had eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists in a road victory over UMass Lowell. Scored 15 points (7-8 FG), grabbed 11 rebounds, and had 5 assists in a win over Southern Connecticut.

Bethany Plasski, Assumption (Jr., G, Fall River, Mass.) - Averaged 19.5 points while shooting 57.1 percent (12-21 FG) from the floor and made all 12 free throws attempted in a 2-0 week. Had 19 points (7-9 FG, 3-4 3FG) and two assists in a road win over UMass Lowell. Scored 20 points (10-10 FT) in a victory over Southern Connecticut.

Kim Brennan, Bentley (Fr., G, Locust Valley, N.Y.) - Averaged 15 points, 3.5 assists and two rebounds in a 2-0 week. Had 16 points and two assists at Saint Anselm, and 14 points and five assists against Saint Rose. Was perfect at the foul line, making six of six in each game.

Kristy McLean, Bentley (Jr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - In a 2-0 week, averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and three assists. Shot 54.5 percent overall, making 6-of-11 in each game, and buried 5-of-12 three-pointers. Had 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists at Saint Anselm and 16 points, seven boards and three assists against Saint Rose.

Johannah Leedham, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Ellesmere Port, England) - Averaged 20.5 points, five rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.5 steals and a blocked shot in a 1-1 week. In a 77-64 win over Stonehill, scored 28 points and recorded six rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks. Posted 13 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists at Le Moyne.

Courtney Coryea, Le Moyne (So., F, Mooers Forks, N.Y.) -Averaged 14.5 points, seven rebounds and five blocks in a 1-1 week. In the overtime win over Franklin Pierce, scored 16 points and recorded 10 rebounds and four blocks.

Amanda Shannon, Merrimack (Jr., G, North Andover, Mass.) - Averaged 18 points in two games this past week, while shooting 7-for-16 from three-point range leading Merrimack to its first conference win against Saint Michael's.

Stephanie Klingele, Pace (Sr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - Averaged 20 points and five rebounds in a 1-1 week. Tallied 18 points, two boards, two assists and two steals against Saint Rose. In a win over Bloomfield, posted 22 points and eight rebounds.

Taylor Losey, Pace (So., F, Bristol, Conn.) - Averaged 18 points, seven boards and two assists in a 1-1 week. Totaled 14 points and seven rebounds against Saint Rose. Scored 22 points, while chipping in seven boards, three assists and two steals in a win over Bloomfield. Shot 13-for-25 from the field and 6-for-15 from long range for the week.

Ashley Anderson, Saint Rose (Jr., F, Portland, Maine) - Averaged a double-double with 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals in a 1-1 week. Shot 59.1 percent (13-for-22) from the floor throughout the two contests. Registered 19 points and 13 rebounds in a 78-75 triumph versus Pace after hitting 9-of-13 shots from the field. Scored 14 points grabbed eight boards in a 71-57 loss at Bentley.

Emily Gottstein, Saint Rose (Sr., F, Albany, N.Y.) - Averaged a double-double with 20 points and 10.5 rebounds during a 1-1 week, while shooting 62.5 percent (15-of-24) from the floor and was 10-for-15 from the free throw line. In a 78-75 victory over Pace, tossed in 27 points and pulled down 11 boards. Shot 11-for-13 from the floor in the contest and 5-for-8 from the foul line. In a 71-57 setback at Bentley, finished with 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Kate Lynch, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Rumford, R.I.) - Scored 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists and recorded a steal at Assumption.

Julia Houghtaling, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Franconia, N.H.) - Averaged 16 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while shooting 63 percent (17-27) in a 3-0 week. Poured in 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a win over Merrimack. Totaled 20 points, six rebounds and three assists in a win over New Haven.

Stephanie Houghton, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., G, Manchester, N.H.) - Averaged 14 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals in a 3-0 week. Registered 16 points, six rebounds and four assists in a win over Bryant and followed that up with 17 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals against Merrimack.

Megan Methven, Stonehill (So., F, Corning, N.Y.) - In a 77-64 loss at Franklin Pierce, connected on seven three-pointers, one shy of her own school record, finishing with 25 points and six rebounds. For the week averaged 16 points and three rebounds.

Weekly Notes:

ASSUMPTION: Senior forward Charde Floyd recorded her 1,000th career rebound at 6:47 of the second half in the road win at UMass Lowell last Wednesday night. She is the fourth Greyhound to have 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, joining Lisa McCarthy '83, Ann McInerney '89 and Jen Harrington '94 in the exclusive listing. With the 11 rebounds versus Southern Connecticut, Floyd is just the second Greyhound to have four 200-rebound seasons (Lisa McCarthy '83).

BENTLEY: Bentley's eight-game winning streak is it’s longest since the Falcons won nine in a row in 2004.

FRANKLIN PIERCE: Sophomore All-American Johannah Leedham moved into eighth place on Franklin Pierce’s career steals list with 168 in just 42 career games. She has also moved within 30 points of the 1,000-point plateau entering the week and just seven points shy of cracking the Ravens career scoring top 20. Junior Jennifer Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England) moved into seventh place all-time at the University with her 271 career assists.

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE:
With its 10th victory Monday against New Haven, the Penmen have recorded their most victories since the 1991-92 season.
