Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Johannah Leedham, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Ellesmere Port, England) – In a 2-0 week, averaged 29 points, eight rebounds, six steals and 3.5 assists, while shooting 53.8-percent (21-of-39) from the field and converted 15-of-17 (88.2%) free-throw attempts. Scored 32 points and shot 10-of-18 from the field and 12-for-13 from the free-throw line, to go with five rebounds, three steals and two assists in the win at Bryant. In the win over Assumption, scored 26 points (11-21 FGs) and recorded 11 rebounds, nine steals, five assists and a blocked shot.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Danille Felice, Le Moyne (Fr., G, Adams, N.Y.) - Scored 13 points in each of the Dolphins two victories over Saint Rose and Southern New Hampshire this past week. Also averaged four assists and two steals over the two games.

Weekly Honor Roll:


Stacy Boisvert, American International (Sr., F, Agawam, Mass.) - Averaged 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week. Scored 23 points with nine rebounds at Pace and added eight points and six rebounds in the win over Saint Rose.

Kayla Parker, Assumption (So., F, Sanford, Maine) - Averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and two blocks while shooting 52.4 percent (11-21 FG) from the floor in a 1-1 week. Scored 27 points (10-17 FG, 7-10 FT) with eight rebounds and four blocks in a victory over Saint Anselm.

Bethany Plasski, Assumption (Jr., G, Fall River, Mass.) - Averaged 18 points and 2.5 steals while shooting 54.2 percent (13-24 FG, 4-8 3FG) from the floor in a 1-1 week. Had 11 points and two steals at Franklin Pierce. Scored 25 points (9-14 FG, 6-6 FT) and had three steals in a victory over Saint Anselm.

Kristy McLean, Bentley (Jr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - In a pair of wins, averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals. Scored 18 points, including shooting 9-of-10 free throws, in a 65-62 win over Southern Connecticut. Also had five rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block against the Owls.

Cara Johnson, Bryant (Jr., G, Endicott, N.Y.) – Shot 5-for-10 from the field for 17 points (nine in overtime) in a 79-70 overtime win over Saint Anselm and shot 5-of-10 for 14 points in the 65-54 loss to Franklin Pierce. Had a two-game total of seven rebounds and went a combined 9-for-11 from the free throw line.

Kim Wagoner, Le Moyne (Sr., G, Cicero, N.Y.) - Averaged 15.5 points per game in a 2-0 week. Netted 11 points, five rebounds and two steals in the victory over Saint Rose. Added 20 points and three steals in a win over Southern New Hampshire.

Revital Carmon, UMass Lowell (Jr., C, Bat-Yam, Israel) - Posted averages of 14 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting .632 (12-19) in an 0-2 week. Scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 65-63 overtime loss to Saint Michael's. Followed with 11 points and six rebounds in a 60-44 loss at Bentley.

Amanda Shannon, Merrimack (Jr., G, North Andover, Mass.) - Averaged 14.5 points and five rebounds in two games at the North Star Invitational, being named to the All-Tournament team. Shot 6-for-12 from three-point range.

Stephanie Klingele, Pace (Sr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - Averaged 19.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, while shooting 9-for-16 (56.3%) from long range. Tallied 16 points and six rebounds, while shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 4-for-7 from downtown in a win over American International. Against Saint Michael's, totaled 23 points, while collecting three rebounds and shot 5-for-9 from three-point range.

Erin Higgins, Saint Anselm (So., G, Mansfield, Mass.) - Averaged 16 points last week, along with five rebounds, 1.5 assists and two steals per game. Shot 55.6 percent from the field for the week and 50 percent from behind the three-point line. Began the week with a 20-point game versus Bryant before putting up a 12-point effort in a loss at Assumption.

Michelle Otey, Saint Michael's (So., F, Southborough, Mass.) - In a 2-1 week, averaged 10.3 points and eight rebounds leading the team to a 2-0 conference record with wins over UMass Lowell, 65-63 (ot), and Pace, 71-61.

Emily Gottstein, Saint Rose (Sr., F, Albany, N.Y.) - Averaged 19 points and 7.5 rebounds in an 0-2 week. Knocked down 57.9 percent (11-for-19) from the floor and went 15-for-19 from the stripe (78.9 percent). In a 69-58 loss versus Le Moyne, scored 29 points via 9-of-13 shooting from the floor. Also grabbed 11 rebounds to record a double-double and went 10-for-12 from the foul line. In a 67-48 setback at American International, scored nine points and recorded four rebounds.

Kate Lynch, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Rumford, R.I.) - Posted a double-double in each of the Owls' two games this week. Scored 28 points and recorded 13 rebounds against Bentley. Followed that up by posting 33 points and 11 rebounds in the win over New Haven.

Sara Tucker, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., F, Red Hook, N.Y.) - Averaged 21.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game in a two-game week while shooting 66.7% from the floor (16-24). Scored 26 points and 18 rebounds in a two-point overtime loss at Le Moyne. Finished with 17 points and nine rebounds in a setback to Stonehill.

Kelsey Simonds, Stonehill (Jr., F, Middleboro, Mass.) - Posted back-to-back double doubles and shot 13-for-16 from the field, while averaging 15.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 blocks. Opened the week going six-for-seven from the field en route to 13 points and 11 rebounds in a 87-50 win over Southern New Hampshire. Then had 18 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four blocks in the 78-57 win over Caldwell.

BENTLEY:
When Bentley knocked off Southern Connecticut Tuesday evening, it marked the second time in four days that a Falcon basketball team defeated a 2007 NCAA Division II national champion. The previous Saturday, the Bentley men toppled Barton College, 71-46.

STONEHILL: The Skyhawks have now started each of the last three seasons with atleast three win in a row to open the season.
