Weekly Notes:
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Franklin Pierce captured its
first Northeast-10 regular season championship since joining the
Conference prior to the 2000-01 season. The conference championship
is the Ravens first since it claimed it’s second of
two-straight regular season crowns in the old New England
Collegiate Conference (NECC) in 1998-99. Junior All-American
Johannah Leedham scored the 1,900th point over her career with her
15 first half points against American International on Saturday.
She is still second all-time in program history with her 1,909
career points entering the postseason. Senior Jennifer Leedham
(Ellesmere Port, England) moved into second place on Franklin
Pierce's career steals list with 235, sitting behind only younger
sister, Johannah, who has a program record 287 career thefts.
Jennifer also moved into eighth on the Ravens career scoring charts
with 1,275 career points.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Alyssa Whitney
(Somerville, Mass.) moved into a tie for ninth place on SNHU's
all-time assist list with teammate Stephanie Houghton (Manchester,
N.H.). Both Whitney and Houghton have handed out 265 career
assists. With two wins last week, the Penmen are assured their
first winning season since 1990-91.
