Stonehill: Stonehill, which held the top spot in the IWLCA Division II national rankings for the 15th straight week last Tuesday, saw its NCAA Division II record winning streak come to an end at 36 straight with Saturday's setback to third-ranked Adelphi, as the last Skyhawk setback came on April 18, 2004 (10-9 at C.W. Post). Stonehill fell to a ranked opponent for the first time in seven outings, but Saturday's setback to Adelphi was only its second to the Panthers in six series meetings. Senior G Lauren Stone (Guilderland, N.Y.), who has been the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week in 14 of the last 15 weeks dating back to last season, saw her personal 32-game winning streak come to an end as well with Saturday's setback. The Skyhawks ran their Northeast-10 winning streak to 53 straight with Tuesday night's triumph at rival Bentley, as Stonehill improved to 65-1 all-time in conference action. The win was also Stonehill's 13th in 14 series meetings with the Falcons. Senior M Erin Acone (Bow, N.H.) enters the week seven goals shy of becoming the 14th player in Division II history to reach the 200 career goal plateau? Merrimack: Merrimack outscored its opponents 59-14 this week. 11 different players scored at least one goal this week. 13 different players scord at least one point this week. Parent also established a new record for points in a game (9) in the win over AIC. The previous record (7) was set by Joy and Nicki Downey last season. Assumption: Thursday, April 6, 2006 at New Haven will be the answer to the trivia question of when and where senior middie Jenny Mongeau (Westboro, MA/Westboro) scored her 200th career point (first of her three goals in the game). Mongeau is the first Greyhound lacrosse player, male or female, to reach the 200 point plateau and is 31 goals away from reaching another ? the 200 career goal milestone.
