Saint Rose Claims Second Straight Regular Season Title;
Earn Top Seed in NE-10 Championship

South Easton, Mass. – The College of Saint Rose Golden
Knights have earned the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10
Women’s Soccer Championship presented by Select Sport
America.
The Golden Knights finished 12-0-2 in NE-10 action to claim the
team’s second straight Northeast-10 Regular Season title. The
Bulldogs of Bryant University (11-0-3) will be the second seed in
the championship, while Franklin Pierce University (9-1-4) claimed
the third seed.
Merrimack College (8-3-3, NE-10) followed as the fourth seed over
Stonehill College (8-3-3) due to their regular season victory over
the Skyhawks. Stonehill will be the fifth seed followed by Saint
Anselm College (6-5-3) as the sixth seed and the University of
Massachusetts Lowell (6-7-1, NE-10) as the seventh seed.
Bentley College (5-6-3, NE-10) claimed the eighth and final spot in
the tournament over Southern New Hampshire University due to the
Falcons regular season victory over the Penmen.
Quarterfinal matches include #8 Bentley at #1 Saint Rose at 1 p.m.
on Sunday, October 28, while #6 Saint Anselm travels to #3 Franklin
Pierce for a 3 p.m. contest. The other two quarterfinal match-ups,
#7 UMass Lowell at #2 Bryant and #5 Stonehill at #4 Merrimack are
slated for 5 p.m. starts.
The semifinal round will take place on Thursday, November 1 with
winner of Stonehill/Merrimack taking on the winner of Bentley/Saint
Rose and the winner of Saint Anselm/Franklin Pierce matching up
against the winner of UMass Lowell/Bryant.
The championship game is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 at
the highest remaining seed.
Sponsoring 23 championship sports and 15 full-time members, the
Northeast-10 is the second largest NCAA Division II athletic
conference in the nation and sponsors the most championships of any
