Earlier this month, The College of Saint Rose's national-title winning women's soccer team was acknowledged by Jimmy Fallon, host of NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and Saint Rose Alum, during his interview with U.S. Olympic goalkeeper Hope Solo.
Scroll to the 2:20 mark of the interview with Solo to see the Golden Knights being featured by Fallon.
Somewhat interestingly, the photo Fallon holds up was taken by Northeast-10 Conference Associate Commissioner Amy Resnick, who attended the championship game on behalf of the league.
Fallon received his bachelor of arts degree in public communications in 2009. He received an honorary doctoral degree and delivered the College's commencement address that same year.
The 2011 Golden Knights women's soccer team won the NCAA Division II National Championship last December in Pensacola, FL by defeating Grand Valley State. The team returns this season atop the 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire Preseason Poll.
