Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Elise Clark, Stonehill (Jr., No. 2 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, Spring
Lake, NJ) - Posted a 6-0 combined singles and doubles mark in a 2-1
week. Had three straight set wins at number two singles in pair of
6-3 wins over Assumption and Southern New Hampshire and a 5-4
setback at LeMoyne.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Lana Lamesic, Saint Rose (Fr., No. 1 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Horgen,
Switzerland) - Finished 3-1 in both singles and doubles play during
a 1-1 week. Picked up a pair of victories at first singles and was
1-1 in first doubles action. Was victorious against Franklin Pierce
after taking a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win at first singles and won at first
doubles by a score of 8-1. Took a 6-4, 6-4 win in first singles
action at Saint Anselm.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Shannon Steele, Assumption (Sr., No. 4 Singles, Plainville, MA) -
Went a combined 5-1 in a 2-1 week. Had a 3-0 record in singles,
earning wins over Stonehill, Pace, and American International. In
doubles, went 2-1 with victories over Stonehill and Pace.
Kelly Fleszar, Bentley (Fr., No. 2 Singles, No. 2 Doubles,
Larchmont, NY) - Went 5-3 this past week, taking both singles and
doubles matches against Franklin Pierce and Concordia and adding a
doubles victory against Queens.
Marcia Gilbride, Bentley (So., No. 4 Singles, No. 3 Doubles,
Topsham, ME) - Went 5-1 this past week, winning at both singles and
doubles against Franklin Pierce and Concordia and picking up a
doubles victory against Queens.
Rachel Harbert, Bentley (Fr., No. 5 Singles, No. 3 Doubles,
Boxford, MA) - Went 5-2 this past week, winning at both singles and
doubles against Franklin Pierce and Concordia and picking up a
doubles win against Queens.
Andrea Hollot, Bentley (So., No. 6 Singles, Easthampton, MA)
– Won her only match of the week, an 8-0 win against Franklin
Pierce.
Kelly Nugent, Bentley (Jr., No. 3 Singles, No. 2 Doubles,
Lynnfield, MA) - Went 5-2 this past week, winning at both singles
and doubles against Franklin Pierce and Queens and picking up a
doubles win against Concordia as well.
Natalija Subotic, Pace (So., No. 1 Singles/No. 1 Doubles,
Bradenton, FL) - Went 3-0 at No. 1 Singles in three matches.
Against Assumption, won at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2. Against Hunter,
won at No. 1 singles 6-0, 7-5. Against Merrimack, won at No. 1
singles 6-1, 6-2.
Laura Nason, Saint Anselm (So., No. 1 Doubles, No. 2 Singles,
Shelton, CT) - In two victories this past week, was a perfect 4-0.
In a win versus American International, won by an 8-2 margin a
doubles match and at No. 2 singles, was perfect in a 6-0, 6-0 win.
In a win versus Saint Rose, won by an 8-1 final at No. 1 doubles
and at No. 2 singles, came away with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
Melissa Ramos, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., No. 5 Singles / No. 3
Doubles, Stoughton, MA) - Went 2-0 at both No. 5 singles and No. 3
doubles during a 1-1 week. Posted a straight-set win against
Merrimack and earned a 6-1, 2-6, 10-4 win against Stonehill in
singles play. Part of an 8-6 win against Merrimack and a 9-7 win
against Stonehill in doubles action.
Samantha Dircks, Stonehill (Fr., No. 4 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Stony
Brook, NY) - Posted a 5-1 combined mark in singles and doubles play
in a 2-1 week. Had three straight set victories at number four
singles in a pair of 6-3 wins over Assumption and Southern New
Hampshire and a 5-4 setback at LeMoyne.
Lauren Rowinski, Stonehill (Fr., No. 3 Singles/No. 2 Doubles,
Franklin Lakes, NJ) - Posted a 5-1 combined mark in singles and
doubles action in a 2-1 week. Had a pair of straight set wins at
number three singles in pair of 6-3 dual-match victories over
Assumption and Southern New Hampshire.
