Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Catherine Dalton, Saint Michael's (So., ‘B’ Singles/Doubles, Easton, Mass.) - Advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Women's ITA at Bloomsburg University winning three matches in straight sets (6-1, 6-1|6-2, 6-0|6-3, 6-1). Also reached the semifinals of the ‘B’ doubles competition.


Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Mary Beth Ash, Saint Michael's (Fr., ‘B’ Singles, Westborough, Mass.) - Advanced to the Semi-finals of the Women's ITA at Bloomsburg University with four straight set victories (8-0|6-1, 6-3|6-0, 6-1|6-3, 6-4) before falling 2-6,6-4,10-7 in the fifth round.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Katherine Giambalvo, Bentley (Jr., Doubles, Fairfield, Conn.) - Went 3-1 at doubles with Rachel Harbert. The pair won 8-4 against Brandeis, and then won two matches at the ITA East Regionals to reach the quarterfinals of the "B" doubles draw.

Marcia Gilbride, Bentley (Jr., B Singles, Topsham, Maine) - Won her opening match in the "B" singles draw at the ITA East Regional and teamed with Heather Haggerty to win an 8-4 set at doubles against Brandeis.

Heather Haggerty, Bentley (Jr., No. 3 Doubles, Hanover, Mass.) - Teamed with Marcia Gilbride to take an 8-4 set at doubles against Brandeis.

Rachel Harbert, Bentley (So., Doubles, Boxford, Mass.) - Went 3-1 at doubles with Katherine Giambalvo. The pair won 8-4 on against Brandeis, and then won two matches at the ITA East Regionals to reach the quarterfinals of the "B" doubles draw.

Kelly Nugent, Bentley (Sr., Singles, Lynnfield, Mass.) - Went 2-1 in singles at the ITA East Regionals, reaching the round of 16 in the "B" singles flight before falling to the top seed in the draw.

CoCo Minott, Franklin Pierce (Sr., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Pennsburg, Pa.) - Earned a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles and won 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles against Southern New Hampshire.

Rebecca Moon, Saint Rose (Fr., ‘A’ Singles, Rancho Mirage, Calif.) - Advanced to the Round of 16 in "A" singles action at the ITA East Regional Championships. Won 6-0, 6-0 in first round action before taking a 6-0, 6-1 decision in the second round. Fell to the top-seed in the "A" bracket to finish 2-1 in singles play at the event.

Juliet Verhofstad, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., No. 3 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, Plymouth, N.H.) - Posted a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles against Franklin Pierce and a 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
