Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Amber Chandronnait, Southern New Hampshire (So., No. 1
Singles/Doubles, Bow, N.H.) - Went 4-0 in two singles and two
doubles matches last week. Posted a pair of 6-0, 6-0 singles
victories against Assumption and Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Ellen Mader, Bentley (Fr., No. 3 Singles, West Linn, Ore.) - Won
the third singles flight at the Wheaton Invitational by beating
Hailee Lange of Holy Cross 6-2, 7-6 in the final. Also went 2-0
against American International.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Sarah Pfefferkorn, American International (Sr., No. 1
Singles/Doubles, Ludlow, Mass.) - Went 4-2 this past week, going
2-1 at first doubles and first singles. Teamed with fellow senior
Tyler Rockefeller to record an 8-6 first doubles win and then
posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles against Pace and recorded a
6-3, 6-1 win at first singles and teamed with Rockefeller to post
an 8-4 victory at first doubles against Saint Rose.
Kelly Fleszar, Bentley (Jr., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Larchmont,
N.Y.) - Posted two wins against American International last week.
Also won her consolation match in the first singles flight at the
Wheaton Invitational.
Marcia Gilbride, Bentley (Sr., No. 3 Singles/No. 2 Doubles,
Topsham, Maine) - Went 2-0 against American International, winning
in No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles. Also won the consolation match
in the second singles flight at the Wheaton Invitational.
Christina Lucin, Merrimack (Jr., No. 2 Singles/Doubles, Wesley
Chapel, Fla.) - Won her doubles match over Saint Rose 8-1 and her
singles match 6-0, 6-1.
Rebecca Aaron-Albanese, Pace (Jr., No. 4 Singles/No. 2 Doubles,
Franconia, N.H.) - Won at #4 Singles and #2 Doubles in a team win
over American International.
Virginia Dalrymple, Saint Anselm (Jr., No. 2 Singles/Doubles,
Surry, Maine) - Went 2-0 in number two doubles and 1-1 in number
two singles in a split weekend. In the 9-0 sweep versus Pace,
posted an 8-1 victory in doubles and a 6-2, 6-4 win in singles.
Erika Sartor, Saint Anselm (So., No .3 Singles/ No. 1 Doubles,
Andover, Mass.) - Went 2-0 in number three singles and 1-1 in
number one doubles this past weekend. In the sweep of Pace, won 8-2
in doubles and 6-2, 6-4 in singles. In the team loss to Southern
New Hampshire, posted a 6-4, 6-1 win in number three singles.
Deahna Giguere, Saint Michael's (So., No. 2 Singles, Oakland,
Maine) - In a 7-2 team loss to Stonehill, recorded a three-set
victory at No. 2 singles.
Melissa Leighton, Saint Rose (So., No. 2 Singles, Shokan, N.Y.) -
Went 2-1 in singles play last week, including a 2-0 mark from the
No. 2 position. Rallied to take a 0-6, 6-3, 10-8 decision in the
8-1 team loss versus Assumption. Went the distance again versus
American International, coming away with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 10-4
triumph in the 7-2 team victory.
Catalina Echeverry, Southern New Hampshire (So., No. 2 Singles/No.
1 Doubles, Cali, Colombia) - Posted a 4-0 record with two singles
and two doubles victories against Assumption and Saint Anselm.
Sarah Hickey, Stonehill (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No.3 Doubles, Lee,
Mass.) - Won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles in her
only match of the week. Also won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles in the team
win over Saint Michael’s.
Leah White, Stonehill (Fr., No. 3 Singles/No. 2 Doubles, East
Walpole, Mass.) - Won in three sets in her only singles match of
the week. Also claimed a victory at No. 2 doubles in the
team’s win over Saint Michael’s.
