Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete of the Week

Keith Gill, Stonehill (Jr., Brockton, MA) - Became the fourth All-America performer in Stonehill history by placing 27th individually at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships, in a time of 30:26.6.

Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the Week


Nicole Plante, UMass Lowell (Sr., North Adams, MA) - Placed second overall at the NCAA Championship while leading UMass Lowell to 20th place. Posted a time of 20:15.6, just 6.2 seconds behind champion Esther Komen of Western State. Earned All-American honors for the second straight year.

Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week

Christopher Croff, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Lisbon, CT) - Finished in 37th place at the 2006 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Finished the race with a time of 30.28.1.

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Andrea Topalis, Stonehill (Fr., Simsbury, CT) - Placed 143rd individually at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships, in a time of 23:53.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Melissa Nash, Bentley (So., Marshfield, MA) - Finished 66th overall, and fourth amongst Northeast Region runners, at the NCAA Division II championships. Posted a time of 21:47.3.

Nicole Radzik, Bryant (Jr., Sutton, MA) - Finished 93rd at the NCAA National Championships, finishing in a time of 22:20.4.

Rex Radloff, UMass Lowell (So., Dedham, MA) - Placed 64th among scoring runners and 80th overall at the NCAA Cross Country Championship. Posted a time of 31:30.5 and helped UMass Lowell to 16th place.

Ruben Sanca, UMass Lowell (So., Boston, MA) - Placed 33rd among scoring runners and 44th overall in 30:41.5 and led UMass Lowell to 16th place at the NCAA Cross Country Championship.

Tim Catoggio, Stonehill (Sr., Bradford, MA) - Posted 72nd place at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships with a time of 31:39.
Kelly Chaisson, Stonehill (Sr., Walpole, MA) - Became the third All-America performer in Stonehill history by placing 27th individually at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships, posting a time of 21:25 in leading to a 17th place team finish.

Lesley Clunie, Stonehill (Jr., Newburyport, MA) – Posted a 92nd place finish at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships with a time of 22:40.

Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Sr., Cranston, RI) - Placed 49th individually at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships with a time of 21:42.

Jenny Gardynski, Stonehill (So., Everett, MA) - Placed 102nd individually with a time of 22:55 at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships.

David Metzger, Stonehill (Jr., Ellington, CT) - Placed 58th at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships with a time of 31:18.8 in leading to a 10th place team finish.

Jackie Oates, Stonehill (So., South Easton, MA) - Placed 101st at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships with a time of 22:54.

Joe Ryan, Stonehill (Jr., Chelmsford, MA) - Placed 55th individually at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships, posting a time of 31:18.3.

BRYANT: Nicole Radzik finished fifth overall at the NCAA Region Championship, Radzik is the first Bryant runner to qualify for national’s since Paula Klepadlo did it in 2003. STONEHILL: Both Stonehill squads posted the highest team finishes of Northeast-10 representatives at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Championships in Pensacola, Fla. on Saturday, as the 11th-ranked Skyhawk men posted their highest finish ever in four national championship appearances by placing 10th overall in the 24-team field. Junior Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.) became the fourth All-America performer in Stonehill history by placing 27th individually and joining Mario Fraioli '04, Sean McKeon '05 and teammate David Metzger in the Skyhawk All-America club. Gill also becomes the first two-time All-America in both cross country and track & field in Stonehill history, having earned All-America accolades in the 1500 meters at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Track Championships...The Skyhawk women posted their fourth top-17 team performance in the last seven years by placing 17th of 24 teams in Saturday's national championships, as senior Kelly Chaisson (Walpole, Mass.) became the third All-America performer in Stonehill women's history with a 27th place finish, joining Meghann Shanahan '05 and Dianna Chivakos '05 as the Skyhawk All-America trio.
