Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete and Freshman of the Week

Chris Croff, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Lisbon, CT) – Placed first in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 25:53, earning him the Northeast-10 Conference Athlete of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards.

Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the Week

Nicole Plante, UMass Lowell (Sr., North Adams, MA) - Won the Northeast-10 Conference individual championship to earn NE-10 Athlete of the Year honors for the second straight year. Posted a time of 18:44 for the 5K course, 24 seconds faster than the remainder of the field and 26 seconds quicker than last year's finish.

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Barbara Powell, Bentley (Fr., Granby, MA) - Became the first Bentley runner to earn Freshman of the Year honors since 1999 with a 15th-place finish in the conference championships. Posted a time of 20:02 for 5,000 meters.

Scott McGrath, Bentley (So., Francestown, NH) - Finished 20th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:59.

Jason Beausoleil, UMass Lowell (Sr., Dracut, MA) - Placed sixth overall with a time of 26:14, earning all-conference first team honors and helping UMass Lowell to the Northeast-10 Championship.

Jason, DeDonato, UMass Lowell (So., Nashua, NH) - Finished 15th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:54.

Joey DeWitt, UMass Lowell (Jr., Ellsworth, ME) - Placed third overall with a time of 26:04 and earned all-conference first team honors to help UMass Lowell to the Northeast-10 Championship.

Mark Garcia, UMass Lowell (So., Chelmsford, MA) - Placed 21st in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 27:02.

Steve Plouffe, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, MA) - Placed ninth overall with a time of 26:26 and earned all-conference second team honors in helping UMass Lowell to the Northeast-10 Championship.

Rex Radloff, UMass Lowell (So., Dedham, MA) - Placed fourth overall with a time of 26:05 and earned all-conference first team honors to help UMass Lowell to the Northeast-10 Championship.

Ruben Sanca, UMass Lowell (So., Boston, MA) - Placed second overall with a time of 25:54 and earned all-conference first team honors in leading UMass Lowell to the Northeast-10 Championship.

Adam Johnson, Merrimack (Sr., Westminster, MA) - Finished 19th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:57.

Thomas Lichtenberger, Saint Michael's (Sr., Bloomfield, CT) - Named Third-Team All-Conference at Byrant with a 17th place finish that paced Saint Michael's to a ninth place finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.

John Critelli, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Southbury, CT) - Finished 11th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:44.

Jay Cebula, Southern Connecticut (Jr., White Plains, NY) - Finished 18th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:57.

Michael Cebula, Southern Connecticut (Sr., White Plains, NY) - Finished 12th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:48.

Kevin Curley, Southern Connecticut (Sr. Washington, CT) - Finished 16th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 26:55.

Melissa Nash, Bentley (So., Marshfield, MA) - Finished 2nd in the Northeast-10 championships, the highest by a Falcon since 2001. Had a time of 19:08 over 5,000 meters.

Nicole Radzik, Bryant (Jr., Sutton, MA) - Finished 5th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 19:25.

Jacquelyn Rappa, Le Moyne (Sr., Clinton, NY) - Finished 21st in a time of 20:13 at the Northeast-10 Championship.

Christina DaLomba, UMass Lowell (So., Marstons Mills, MA) - Placed 11th at the Northeast-10 Championship with a time of 19:53, earning all-conference honors for the second straight year.

Holly Johnson, UMass Lowell (So., Tyngsboro, MA) - Finished 16th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 20:03.

Sarah Merullo, UMass Lowell (So., Wakefield, MA) - Placed ninth and earned All-Conference honors for the second straight year with a time of 19:47 at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.

Amanda Sousa, UMass Lowell (Jr., Peabody, MA) - Finished 17th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 20:05.

Emily Thomas, UMass Lowell (So., Foxboro, MA) - Placed 12th at the Northeast-10 Championship with a time of 19:56, earning all-conference honors for the second consecutive year.

Linsey Cohen, Merrimack (Sr., Holliston, MA) - Finished 6th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a time of 19:31.

Amanda Cantone, Saint Anselm (Sr., Woburn, MA) - Cantone posted a 14th-place finish at this week's Northeast-10 Cross Country Championships, finishing in a time of 19:58 and earning Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team honors for her performance.

Kelly Chaisson, Stonehill (Sr., Walpole, MA) - Finished fourth at the Northeast-10 Championship with a time of 19:24.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Karen Boen of Stonehill was named the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year while Gary Gardner of UMass Lowell won the award on the men’s side.

STONEHILL: Stonehill claimed its sixth women's championship in the last seven seasons in avenging last year's one-point setback to UMass Lowell.  The Skyhawks' six titles in seven years is the second longest title run in league history only to Springfield's 12 straight conference championships in the 1980's and early 1990's.
