Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete of the Week
Ruben Sanca, Umass Lowell (Jr., Boston, Mass.) - Placed 24th
overall and 22nd among scoring runners to earn All-America honors
at the NCAA Championship. Ran the 10K course in 31:13.7 and led
UMass Lowell to 13th place in the team standings.
Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the Week
Nicole Radzik, Bryant (Sr. , Sutton, Mass.) - Finished 40th overall
individually at the NCAA Division II National Championship. The
conference and regional champion finished in a time of 20:29.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Angus MacDonald , Mass.-Lowell (Fr., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed 74th
overall and 61st among scoring runners and was the top regional
freshman at the NCAA Championship. Ran the 10K Course in 32:28.7
and helped lead UMass Lowell to 13th.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week
Lyra Clark, Umass Lowell (Fr., Nashua, N.H.) - Top regional
freshman runner at the NCAA Championship, ran the 5K course in
22:40.4. Finished 88th overall and 70th among scoring runners and
led UMass Lowell to 21st place.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Melissa Nash, Bentley (Jr., Marshfield, Mass.) - Was third amongst
conference runners and 75th overall, in a 189-runner field, at the
NCAA Division II Championships. Posted a time of 22:29.8 for 6,000
meters.
Stephan Ramirez, Bentley (Sr., San Antonio, Texas) - Was sixth
amongst conference runners and 98th overall, amongst 187 runners,
at the NCAA Division II Championships. Covered the 10,000 meter
course in 32:53.7.
Christina DaLomba, UMass Lowell (Jr., Marstons Mills, Mass.) -
Placed 73rd overall and 60th among scoring runners to lead UMass
Lowell to 21st at the NCAA Championship. Ran the 5K course in
22:28.0 as the River Hawks topped all regional schools.
Amanda Sousa, UMass Lowell (Sr., Peabody, Mass.) - Placed 129th
overall and 110th among scoring runners at the NCAA Championship.
Ran the 5K course in 23:30.9 and helped lead UMass Lowell to 21st
place.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley was one of only 22 institutions
nationwide that was represented in both the men's and women's race
at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships.
