Adelphi, Saint Anselm Earn NE10 Softball Regular-Season Titles as Championship Set to Begin


Saint Anselm to Host NE10 Softball Championship Weekend.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi and Saint Anselm each repeated this season – earning the Northeast 10 Conference Southwest and Northeast Division softball regular-season titles, respectively, as the league championship is set to begin on Tuesday.

Two first round games will take place on Tuesday, as part of the single-elimination tournament, with the rest of NE10 Championship weekend being held at Saint Anselm from Thursday, May 2, through Saturday, May 4.

The Hawks (35-8, 23-2 NE10) are riding a 10-game winning streak into the postseason, the second time this year they have had a win streak of at least 10 games. The Panthers (30-17, 20-6 NE10) are winners of eight of their last nine contests.

Southern New Hampshire and New Haven received the No. 2 seeds in their respective divisions for the NE10 Championship, setting up Tuesday games between Merrimack and Assumption, as well as Le Moyne and Pace.

The NE10 Championship will take place on Saturday, May 4, live on NE10 NOW.
