NE10 Hall of Fame Inductee: Bentley's Danielle Chaisson

Danielle Chaisson, Women’s Basketball, Bentley University, Class of 1998

Bentley's Danielle Chaisson finished her illustrious career as the second-leading scorer in women's basketball program history with 1,728 career points. She helped lead the Falcons to a 107-20 record during her time in Waltham, a reign that included three Elite Eight appearances, three regional titles, and three NE10 regular season titles.

As a senior, Chaisson was the MVP, tri-captain and the leading scorer for a Bentley team that finished 30-2, captured the Northeast-10 regular season and tournament championships, repeated as NCAA Northeast Region champions, made a third straight appearance in the Elite Eight and was honored as the ECAC Division II Team of the Year.

Danielle remains the only player in Bentley program history to record at least 200 blocks and 200 steals, and she currently ranks fifth all-time in points, second in blocks, fourth in field goals made, seventh in rebounds, and eighth in scoring average.

Chaisson collected a host of honors during her four years in a Falcon uniform, including Kodak/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association first-team All-America, Bentley’s Outstanding Female Senior Athlete, Women’s Division II Bulletin second-team All-America, Daktronics/CoSIDA Division II third-team All-America and Northeast-10 Player of the Year following her senior season.

She is a member of the 2017 NE10 Hall of Fame class that includes four individuals and three national-title winning teams. Congratulations to Danielle on this well-deserved honor.
