Defending National Champion Dolphins Picked to Repeat as NE10 Men's Lacrosse Champions

Le Moyne Picked as Preseason Favorite in NE10 Coaches' Poll

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Le Moyne has been selected as the top team in the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll, it was announced by the conference office this morning.

The 2017 NE10 Championship is scheduled to begin with Quarterfinal Round contests on Tuesday, May 2, followed by the Semifinals on Friday, May 5. The NE10 Championship Game is set for Sunday, May 7.

Le Moyne garnered 120 points overall, including ten of the league's 12 first-place votes to top this year's poll. The Dolphins achieved perfection a year ago, en route to an NE10 regular season title, NE10 tournament title, and NCAA national title with a perfect 20-0 mark in a season ago.

Merrimack was slotted at second with 111 points along with the two other first-place votes. Adelphi was ranked third by the league's head coaches with 102 points, while Pace checked in fourth (90), and Southern New Hampshire was fifth (72).  

Le Moyne, Merrimack, Adelphi and Pace were all ranked in the USILA/Nike Preseason Coaches' Poll. Le Moyne begins the year at No. 1, while Merrimack is ranked third in the national rankings. Adelphi is ranked eighth and Pace checks in at No. 17.
