Panthers, Penmen Tabbed to Take Divisional Crowns in NE10 Softball



Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire Picked to Win Divisions

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire were selected by the league's head coaches to take the top spots in the Northeast-10 softball standings by season's end, it was announced by the conference office today.

Southern New Hampshire topped the Northeast Division with 112 points and 14 first-place votes, while Adelphi collected 97 points and 13 votes for first place to land atop the Southwest Division.

Adelphi defeated So. New Hampshire in the East Super Regional to punch their ticket to the College World Series, where they were ultimately defeated by Armstrong State in the double-elimination championship.

Stonehill was tabbed to finish second in the Northeast Division with 85 points, while Merrimack (82) and Assumption (81) were close behind in third and fourth, respectively. 

In the Southwest Division, Pace was second with 80 points, Le Moyne was third with 73 and New Haven was fourth with 62. 

The first round of the NE10 Championship is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, while the Championship Weekend is set for May 4-6 and will be hosted by the highest remaining seed from the Northeast Division following First Round play.
