Adelphi Leads the Way with Six Selections
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Seventeen Northeast-10 women’s lacrosse student-athletes have earned All-America status by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The NE-10 had six land on the first team, seven more on the second team and four on the third team.
National Champion Adelphi led the way with six All-Americans. Le Moyne was next with five honorees, while New Haven and Stonehill each had three apiece. Three of the Panthers’ six honorees were first-team selections. The Chargers had two first teamers while Le Moyne had one.
For the Panthers, senior attacker Alexa Froccaro, senior midfielder Felicia Mills and sophomore defender Ryley Weber collected first-team accolades. Junior attacker Erica Geremia, theNE-10 Player of the Year, represented the Dolphins on the first team. New Haven senior midfielder Kathryn Campbell and senior defender Brittany Ast were also on the first team.
Honorees will be recognized at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday, June 6 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.
In addition, 12 NE-10 players were selected to the 2015 IWLCA North-South Game, representing the North squad. The game will take place at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., on Saturday, June 6 as well with the start time slated for 12:45 p.m.
